Best wishes to your wife mate, fingers crossed it all goes well. I haven’t been out carping for months! Got waylaid with bass fishing, which led into a winter season off the beaches. Hoping to do a day session after a few carp in a week or two.

Did 2 nights in Dec, one in Jan, got 3 nights booked for mid Feb - fingers crossed for an early spring whacker!

Wish I was doing more fishing tbh! Not been for a while now and itching to get back out. Feel out of touch a bit.

I might be doing 24hrs on Saturday till Sunday myself. My wife finally starts her treatment tomorrow for 3 days this week, so it all depends on how she's feeling, if she's not too good I won't go. So I might see you Saturday morning. 🙂👍

I hate it me... Yesterday was a wasted day sat in waiting for 3 ton gravel to be delivered, also waiting for car to be fixed (new fuel system).... Both happened to be ready at same time this morning. So went and picked car up, while was there, driver phoned and said I'm at your property... Got back and put 3 ton gravel down over the wire mesh on drive, whackered that down, just need gates arrive now. Can't be stuck inside me, I'm out walking at least everyday, I'm hoping be on the bank Friday night (will be after little ens footy training, so will be setup in dark), doing till about 1pm Saturday.

Lovely to read all your favourites guys well done 👍 I think I've got 3 or 4 main favourites lol, This was the one and only fish I ever put in carp talk early 00's I think 🙄, I had been really struggling to catch anything from this lake, but then I think probably on the advice of someone on here, I prebaited a swim for 2 weeks almost daily tbh after night shifts and all sorts, this one was the first of 5, my first 20lber at 26lb, I had another scraper 20 but I had learnt prebaiting works, I got 5kg of free pellets for that too 😂 Then from more recent times it was these 2 first trip back on Virginia after losing my dad, I had already had the confidence boosting 10 fish hit on the other lake pretty soon before and I felt in the zone, I had done a little baiting but then in evening I had this one New PB 27lb3oz, that alone would have been enough I was buzzing but in the morning I recast a bag into the hole in the weed and it ripped off And this one was the result proper buzzing and I remember the lucky moorhen, not sure it was coincidence or not but it always seems to appear at significant times was here for this one too, my favourite from this year so far 😉
