  1. Both of my syndicates are about 40 min drive, the club water that I like to fish is about 30 mins away and even my local day ticket water is a 10 miles away... and I don’t want to push my luck.... so it getting stuck into unfinished jobs for me...... mind you I can walk to the beach in 4 minutes so if I get real withdrawal symptoms, I will have to get my fork out and dig some lugworm and have a session out with the beach caster... last resort though ...

  2. In fairness this problem with taking bait to France is nothing to do with Boris or our government. It's an EU law that was bought in when we were part of the EU. Those rules apply to anyone outside the EU. If we want to blame someone we'll have to find someone that voted out lol.

    Making pop-ups

Making pop-ups. I do make my own special pop-up hookbaits with a special flavour combination that has worked well for me. I work on a 1 egg mix with the flavours, oils and attractors as a 6 egg quantity. For pop-ups I do use Mainline Polaris or Richworths Pop-up mix, dependant on which is easily available. A 1 egg mix lasts me usually a whole year. So added to 1 egg is 5ml of Ultraspice Flavour, 2.5ml Verselle Laga Garlic Oil, 20ml Marine 17 liquid and 10ml Tunamino liquid, and the whole lot is whisked together and the base mix gradually added until it is stiff enough to roll. As I said a 1 egg mix produces enough pop-ups for a whole year, this year I rolled a load of 20mm and some 14mm baits. I boil the baits in boiling water for 1minute and then leave to dry overnight, before adding a bit of extra liquid. The 20mm I added a touch of red dye in with the extra liquids.

  4. This should help the blue is the main line hook the rig on the crook the opposite end and the wight on the arm of the clip

  5. The line ties direct to the swivel on the lead clip with whatever knot you want to tie. a palmar is a good reliable knot and the tail rubber pulls down over that. do not add another swivel into the set up it’s is not needed I would possibly add about a foot to 18” of tubing if the lake requires it

  6. You do 15lb is pretty much standard I still have a set of spare spools with 10lb on them for open water use

  7. You will also need a decent sized net and unhooking mat The kit you have listed will get you going and last personally I would up the rig size to a 6 and 8 and forget the 10’s

  9. My garage is a mess too, I keep putting it off 😁 I'm borderline about whether I'm too far or not 6 miles from my local but I'm not too fussed at present, trying to minimise the risk of Covid tbh even though my work colleagues don't seem to share my ideals 😢, now I'm back to work I feel bad having to leave my misses to do all the home schooling so it wouldn't seem right for me to just [censored] off fishing 🙄 I can wait til it warms up a bit then hopefully a heavy spring baiting campaign might be on the cards and I can get this 30lber target done 😁

  10. I don't disagree they were a bad bunch, I also think the war on terror should never have happened that was all down to oil rather than WMD'S, I'm not completely disagreeing,I once tried to convince an air hostess to spill coffee on cherie Blair when she flew on Ryan Air in a white suit 😂 Anyway back to fishing 😂

  11. At the time of voting though I felt he was the best of a bad bunch. Jo swinson lib dem snowflake, no chance. Jeremy (I support the ira and anti British ) corbyn, absolutely not. And for the record I did vote out. As for boris looking out for his mates, no different to Blair (war criminal) looking out for his wife. They all tell lies and tell you what you want to hear and once in power they do nothing of the sort. Boris said he would vet Brexit done and has done so. Theresa May's brexit deal was apparently better than boris's but labour, lib dems etc voted against it so blame the mp's. That's all I'm saying 😂😂

  14. Still a lot we can blame Boris for though 😁 The country has been sold a pup by farage and all the other right wing extremists, it was a campaign based on lies, unfortunately we will find out the hard way, and with boris looking out for his mates we won't have an empire to build on it will all be privatised and resting in Gibraltar or some other tax haven

  18. I recently brought a nash pocket pod as I was really struggling to get the sticks into one or two of the swims at my local, they concreted a few swims to make them wheelchair friendly, so I won’t complain! When I used the pod for the first time, as both buzzer bars are fixed at equal height, with the alarms added, the rod tips pointed up in the air. Plus the height of the swim above the water and my lines were several feet higher than I’d like. I brought some QR thingies for the rear rod rests that are about 2inches long, supposedly for making your landing/keep nets etc quick release (although they don’t seem strong enough for a specimen landing net) they stood high enough for the rods to sit level on the pod. oh yeah... I also rushed the purchase of the pod and didn’t realise that rods with 12000 fox big pit reels didn’t fit the pod without the QR “butt grip raisers” as they hit the central bar...

Need new Headlight, wing, cracked driver window, and ripped off mirror... In with insurance now and police as more cars were also damaged.. Garden now turned into a drive within 4 days(myself done)... Waiting for council drop kerb. Myself n wife have both had abscess, lucky mine was caught early but she had to have a Molar tooth removed...
