  2. Hi Luke Funnily enough my Wife is very reluctant when I suggest she smells my boilies , these ladies just don't know what they're missing ! . I only use the stabilised ,which are marketed as an improvement to shelf life , but my stabilised have lasted considerably longer than they are supposed to . I read an article by Shaun Harrison in which he said he liked to use 2 different flavours and colours concurrently . Whatever you do decide , Luke , tight lines . ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  3. Hello mate, Thanks for the detailed response, The Squid does smell good, funny how it's only us anglers that appreciate the smell, my mrs says it stinks! lol!! I've got some shrimp in shelf life, do you use shelf life exclusively now? I've dabbled with them in the past. lost one on my last outing after baiting with Trent Shrimp shelf life only. Trent said about mixing both but that fried my brain even more, I only like to use one boilie. With a quality name like SAS (who dares wins) makes me think it will be the squid. Lets see, its a biggie for me changing. Thanks again pal. Its much appreciated!

  5. Hello Luke . I started off using Shrimp and Squid in 15mm frozen , but eventually was able to switch to stabilised . I wanted to go down in size to 12mm and there was a minimum order , at the time , of 5kg ,and I couldn't afford to buy both , so I went for the Squidy goodness . I recently bought 1kg of 12mm Shrimp , and ran both the Squid and Shrimp together , but I find I radiate towards the Squid . I'm not saying the Squid is definately better than the Shrimp it's just that I have more confidence in the Squid - I guess I just like the smell ! . ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  6. Best of luck mateโ€ฆhow far across is it to the other anglers swim ?
  7. Great write up and pic ๐Ÿ‘
  8. Tight lines , Elmo . Don't fall on your bum like Ouch . ๐Ÿ˜
  9. I'm in the mud tonight.
  10. When you realise you don't even need to change your line yet ๐Ÿ˜‚
  11. Since before Jesus was resurrected I heard.
  12. Pretty sure Yonny has used the shrimp for as long as I can remember
  13. Think Yonny is a Trent baits user
  14. Hi, Has anyone done well on Trent SAS Squid? I purchased a kilo of each SAS Squid, Shrimp and matching cork ball pop ups. They both look and smell amazing, I'm torn between the 2 and am looking to bulk buy soon. I see online lots of folk rate the shrimp, not much info on the SAS squid. Squid flavoured baits do well on my lake, but shrimp sounds like it can't be ignored. Thanks Luke

  16. It doesn't empty properly, even when put upside down when nearly empty. Always have to heat a bit of water up in a pan, then put the gas canister in the warm water in pan to get a decent burn, otherwise the flame is too low.
  17. Legend - well in mate ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
  18. I love a varivas hook ๐Ÿ‘
  19. Thanks for the heads up!
  20. Strange I always get a case of Coleman propane gas - never had a problem, what's gone on with yours?
  21. Beautiful fish, well earned buddy๐Ÿ‘
  22. Yes , they do come big sizes. I told my mate about them and he uses the 6's. He absolutely loves them. And the bonus being, no carp tax.
  23. Great find mate. They look like just like the Drennan Continental Boilie hooks.... except massive๐Ÿ˜…
  24. Get yourself some "Varivas Chinu" hooks from Veals Mail order. They are a sea fishing hook, Sizes 8's and bigger. They are choddy style hooks, super sharp and half the price of carp hooks. If i was still carp fishing I'd 100% be using them.
  25. You're the epitome of " you have to be in it to win it " , Ouch , but I'll leave the heroics to you ๐Ÿ˜ . Well done on the big Common you thoroughly deserved it . ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  26. Thank you
  27. If anyoneโ€™s interested, Iโ€™ve edited my catch pic above with a full catch report.
  28. I like the go gas ones but they do seem to empty quickly.
