Jone5y Posted April 23, 2022 Report Posted April 23, 2022 (edited) I can see Ian throwing a few shapes to this on the bank after a few too many (or too few) bottles of Rioja. Edited April 23, 2022 by Jone5y Quote

buzzbomb Posted July 13, 2022 Author Report Posted July 13, 2022 This is my favourite Roy Orbison song, and it is a rockin' tune and he has a pretty good Band behind him. Quote
elmoputney Posted July 14, 2022 Report Posted July 14, 2022 I'm currently listening to a brilliant book, The ragged trousered philanthropists by Robert Tressell https://librivox.org/the-ragged-trousered-philanthropists-by-robert-tressell I'm on chapter 29 only started yesterday 😮 Quote

Golden Paws Posted August 7, 2022 Report Posted August 7, 2022 I must have been living in a box because I've only recently discovered buckethead. Soothsayer seems to be his most popular track and it's worth every minute. Luckily I found Sophie Lloyd quite a while back, enjoy! Quote
Golden Paws Posted August 17, 2022 Report Posted August 17, 2022 This has been on the radio for weeks and it always stops me in my tracks. It's a few years old but is being used to advertise the Samsung S22 mobile and has been given a second lease of life. (A bit like Running Up That Hill.) Quote
buzzbomb Posted January 8, 2023 Author Report Posted January 8, 2023 The Punters came out from Newfoundland on tour in the 90's pushing their new album and played our bar. About 10 years earlier Newfoundland folk singer Jim Payne took old Rufus Guinchard on a cross-country tour after exposing the world to him at Expo '86 in Vancouver, Canada. Until then he had never been more than 30 miles or so from where he was born. He told me "I want to fly everywhere now!" 😄 Rufus helped The Punters out with the fiddle part to this song, as well as being mentors to them. Rufus was an amazing fellow and I'm glad I got the chance to meet him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQTO7ZyD62U Quote
Golden Paws Posted May 29, 2023 Report Posted May 29, 2023 Floor Jansen's singing always sends goose pimples down my neck and this is about as good as it gets. bluelabel 1 Quote
