I'd love a big British Common, but how big do they grow???? In my experience around the 40 mark, full of spawn. Lovely!!!! I have heard that several venues boast 50lb+ fish, i find it hard to believe that these fish originated in this country or haven't been genetically altered one way or another, which i believe a lot of popular venues will stock to get the big girls as a draw. from my knowledge, which is not a lot, Elphicks were one of the first to pioneer what has now become the norm & will continue to be as we find the lure of catching a big girl, without the need to go abroad Sorry to those who don't like it, but i am booked & hoping for a result

Andy & Chris are great lads, not too sure on the stock they claim to have!! I've had a couple of mid doubles, too many bream!! A mate of mine has had the 27lb grassy But is determined to have the 30lber. Last time i did the night there were more cat guys than carpers. Reccomend any other good ones, i'm bored of theusual. Tried Wire Mill across the rd? my mate thinks there a few 30's come over from Beaver in the floods????

Good shout, have you tried the Krank choody??? I like the hook so was hoping the chod style one would improve my zig fishing as well. I've got traps for the rats & i wish there was one for the ol' coots n ducks, they're worse than bream

& i was told not to mention fluro to cm!!!!!! As above although i use no.6 Krank, 3 turn blood, micro swivel on the hook, my method over the suppleness of the braid. I have used IQ2 in the past, but now using Rig marole ( easy to iron out small kinks without the need for steam), they also have braid over fluro, so you can roll up the braid, cut the fluro, push the braid back for the whipping & hair, INSTANT COMBI RIG. I only use fluro now, peace of mind that the rig resets itself should it be disturbed.

Due to the recent arrival of my 3rd son, i have stupidly agreed with the ol' lady that i will only go on a 72 hr trip this year. (i'll try n get a few sneaky overnighters though) So i've booked Pullens lake in mid July (no cracks about being a fair weather fisherman a) wondered if anyone has any tips or advice??? i couldn't agree more matey, sink the line I am always amused by the amount of anglers fishing tight lines, i know it's a saying, but you could hang your washing on them & i sometimes feel we're in the minority by fishing slack lines. Each to his own i say!!! Having seen any underwater filming makes you want to pin your business end to the lake bed. i currently use sub line, but am going to change for fluro due to the short range fishing i do. .

ok, found the caps button, lads, were smoking now!!!!! Didn't know or necessarily want to plug it, but underwater 8. stiif fluro hooklink & size 6's seem to do the business for me
