  1. As long as you have the essentials elmo, just focus on enjoying yourself mate. If you forget something then you can get over it somehow. Being on the bank is quality time. I wish I could have more time there, but work and family take priority at the moment SO, QT shoutld be cherished, you deserve it buddy! Tight lines
  2. It's a fugly fish for sure. No pics of the 88lb common he had though๐Ÿ˜
  3. ๐Ÿค‘Anyone fancy a social at Euro Aqua???
  4. If you're using small hooks it's tricky, but wet the end and give it a little twist, it will go. I sometimes struggle getting it through the slim anti tangle sleeves, but it does with a little practice.A thin bait needle can help sometimes
  5. I found that a split shot stays in position, sometimes the putty can move or even come off! Extreme!! What's that all about?? Enjoy experimenting with it elmo
  6. Something didn't feel right, so I moved several hundred yards, I'm only putting out a few freebies in pva mesh with the hook bait. Every 15-20 minutes, I'm adjusting the zig. Feel a little bit more confident ๐Ÿ˜
  7. Well my first fish, it saddens me to say was a couple of pound bream! Gutted!! Lovely morning, chucked a zig near a few shows, so fingers crossed
  8. The wind has finally dropped, sun is glaring in my baited areas, but I'm just happy to be here!
  9. I'm not going to lie, I'm finding it a bit daunting, way out my comfort zone. It feels like I'm fishing at sea๐Ÿคฏ
  10. No joy yet! I'm made up to just be here. Fott high waves rolling in so hard to spot any activity. Thanks for all your well wishes lads
  11. Viewfrom the bivvy door!! Had a few liners.
  12. Well I'm loosing my virginity tonight!! All loaded up, going to have dinner with the kids then off to the resi! I don't mind admitting I'm quite excited to finally get on the bank ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  13. Sorry its loads of posts upload limits and errors ๐Ÿ™„
  14. Bait loop, kd type knot and shot where fluro stops to anchor the boom section, only knot at hook and swivel at lead.
  15. I'll have to go step by step Pull fluro through braid. Like wire stripping.
  16. Yep. I think it's COVID related in the fact it's only one person per boat, so I'm guessing the regulars got first look in, for the outboards. Not sure about storage! I can fit it in my extra long wheelbase van easily enough. My mate can't drive so that's 2 of everything we now need, due to COVID regs๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„. I've got to make my own coffee now!! I'm looking at possibly getting a little rib too! No point in having a motor with nothing to put it on!
  17. I've been twice prebaiting. The weed is as you say Nick. I have put a bit of bait on obvious clear spots. Went to book my boat safety course to be told I now need to buy a small electric motor and leisure battery!! Blinking annoying and quite costly! ๐Ÿ™„
  18. Will do mate, it's almost time to wrestle the gear out the back of my lock up. Next Friday I'll be on the bank & try to detail it. Honestly so easy, all you need to do tie the hook and to the swivel. I've found a link, it mentions a video that may make it clear. Hydrolink https://www.rigmarole.co.uk/products/end-tackle-accessories/hooklinks
  19. It's braid over fluro, so you pull back the braid, cut the fluro and pull the braid back, to form the supple hook length!! Idiot proof (yes I am) & simple (just how I like things to be). Their fluro will pull straight, so no need for steaming it straight, another unique benefit. P. S. I don't work for them๐Ÿ˜‰
  20. I love my Combi type rig, acting very much like a HSR, with shot where the fluro stops and braid starts. Hydrolink by rigmarole is the dogs! My preferred in line leads are below, I've always landed a bite from them. It gives the centre of gravity effect. I stopped using bags after watching underwater 7 & 8. I always put a few freebies in pva mesh, done in seconds. Gives the effect of a stringer, at a fraction of the time!
