  1. This and many more the same it's a 20 quid box at best even then it is way too awkward for a tackle box.
  2. I'd go with the food processor either that or one of the other bolie crushers out there, RM are getting a bit of stick for some of their stuff well over priced buckets and boxes which is a shame because their lights are on point, the big tackle box they do for 50 notes is a shocker by post sale reviews.
  3. Steady on dude fishing will always be there it is the same for all young families, angling can get in the way a bit. i'm sort of lucky with my lady and fishing as it was her that got me back into it after we first met i used to do a bit of fish spotting when walking along the canal together.
  4. Barston is closed as they don't want people traveling not sure about lavender but I have no waggler tackle so not really worth it anyhow. other than that there is a few free river spots and the canal at Knowle or Coventry city centre. Was up my mates boat mooring the other week they are on the cov canal get loads of carp in the moorings would be well worth plotting up just outside and doing a few over-nighters, another guy that does a bit up there had a nice 16lb common out on waggler tackle.
  5. Anything is a winner at this time of year, nice looking water. surprised you had a Tench on the water must stay a bit warmer than others? those trees would help.
  6. To be honest it is hard to say this bivvy is over priced that material they use at 20.000 hh is as good as it will get due to weight issues with a higher HH,, the add ons' soon add up though inner domes and mozzie mesh come with a heavy carp tax as they are made to fit. Would really like one of these with all the add ons'.
  7. I was fishing a park lake mainly before getting this ticket used to be a fiver for the day or 180 for the year water park lakes are the go to places for those special big fish.
  8. Money spent the right way equals fish on the bank my biggest spend for the last few years has been on a syndicate ticket I could put the same money to a spanking new bivvy or bait boat with all the extras and then scrape by on fishing day tickets the problem being I'm not able to regularly afford 3 day sessions even when I could it would be a 20 quid a night water at most, all the good day ticket waters are a lot more money than 20 a night. As for tackle i try to get the best quality lines and end tackle plus bait it's all up to me after that, syndicate fishing is very different to day ticket much more relaxed and friendly but the fishing is not easy, don't think any of the lakes has done a fish in months the biggie I had out of the little lake a few years back has only been out once or twice since getting on for three years since last caught, I was gutted I didn't get her out last autumn weights are said to be up and the colours would of been amazing.
  9. The ESP stuff is OK used to use their sink link, the coating on the tungsten is a bit tricky as in it is easily ruined should use a striping tool teeth and thumb nail isn't the best.
  10. Still got a spool myself I will be having one rod on solid bags this spring so it will be coming out might use it on my combis as well
  11. Jeez how big are you I've seen some large guys out in winter gear got to be something that fits try Army Andy he may be able to knock something up. What size waste we talking? I've never be over a 28 so I'm at the opposite end to you I can only just about find adult clothes that fit lol.
  12. I use waders myself more for finding spots and casting plus baiting up, never have i stopped to put them on when the rods go, although i did have a big mid thirty out a few years back that cost me a pricey e cig battery and coil i was getting in for that one. As for wrong doing we was more into off road bikes at that age before they had helicopters swear the police used to love chasing us around on their bikes.
  13. Got to be one of the best bivvies on the market today
  14. Big D himself must of been lurking the the boards he has made us a video.
  15. Seen this video of a young lad out on his own fishing in the snow and falling in out of the lake like it's a bath tub, since when do you need waders to fish a day ticket water, no I'm not calling the lad a wingnut, those that can't play and land a fish unless wearing waders, if his mum see's this mess he won't be out fishing anytime soon. like I've said before winter fishing is always a struggle due to the cold mistakes and accidents can soon pile up.
  16. I use the 16lb which seems way too fine when you first get hold of it. when I first put it on the reels I went to a field and casted them out tied it off to the goal posts and reeled in I was near casting the length of the pitch with 2 oz leads and 6000 baitrunners on 10 foot rods I would happily use the 12lb tiger line but that might get moaned about.
  17. Tiger line never had a problem with it, PB Products do a fluro that is claimed to be way ahead of anything else, going by the price i doubt many will be using it. 400M for 60 notes. https://anglersworld.ie/products/pb-products-ghost-dragonfly-fluorocarbon
  18. lot of good features that are a first, if you could have the same six rods on two receivers could be handy for some. the auto vibration is a bit silly especially if there is no indication of which is in use.
  19. You would need a good reason to buy these same for the delks and high end fox alarms I'm temped myself to go with a new set of alarms, like the Gardner ATTs, get them on 12 months interest free those and a nice Cygnet quickloc pod and minimal swan bars all in green, down low and tarty ha ha
  20. Looks good elmo i use purepellet get some of their ultimax mix but i do like the look of the Best pellet Aller aqua do
  21. Bit of Catfish noodling in the margins kind of water. lol I think that looks mantle some of the guys that do it end up with a seriously damaged arm. there would be a lynching on some club waters.
  22. I think fresh cooked beetroot might work as a ingredient to add colour and texture then you would have what i call Sunday dinner appeal you know when you are real hungry and that big plate of roast veg really is standing out due to all the vitamins and nutrients it is kicking out. I think spirulina does the same in a bait so already covered with a proven ingredient.
  23. Might want to get to now peak boat traffic times that area in the canal is a boat turning point it's where narrow boats can do a three point turn might not get used much but when it does the bottom really does churn up lots of high revving in shallow water, should be a good channel in the centre though.
  24. Gravel pits for me mainly i would love a nicely stocked estate lake to fish something like Longleat, the lake bed where i fish is a moonscape the bottom is real soft in most areas sure there is a big slab that could be and old viaduct drainage from when it was dug out, when you stand on it you can feel it is flat and solid under a layer of silty mud. good spot as well.
