  1. I've got the BBP's and the Zigs. Can't fault them so far.
  2. Pic from the link that Jay posted Words just fail me
  3. I experimented with a few cork ball pop ups in the sink on a combi rig. I found that drilled pop ups were nowhere near as buoyant as those tied on with some floss. So much so they were more like wafters than pop ups.
  4. Guilty
  5. LOL we should start a kickstarter for it
  6. Phew, if I'd read that in 11 minutes time, I would have believed it
  7. I've never made them at home. Always on the bank.
  8. 8 league wins on the bounce They have come in to form at the right time of the season, but there are still a few twists left in the season. It'd be nice to see Liverpool nick it from City on the last game of the season
  9. Let's hope that Brendan Rodgers has a few lessons in giving interviews if Liverpool continue their march to the end of the season. He looked like a complete idiot today with the gibberish he was coming out with
  10. The fact that it is a rescue saves you from ridicule
  11. Sorry to hear that Andy
  12. You have posted four alternative ways, but have not shown any evidence that any of them are superior to a PVA nugget. In fact, Milky's post above has shown one of them to be far inferior if the lead were to land the wrong way up (Which is a 50/50 chance every cast).
  13. I would have ended up doing the same thing. Would have moaned and grumbled, said 'I'm not retying them', then sat and brooded and retied them all. And that's the exact reason why I would have ended up retying them.
  14. I couldn't cast out without a bait stop. I'd be sitting there continually wondering if I've got bait on the end of my rig or if it's come off. There's just no way I could feel confident
  15. I often use plastic bait, but I've never used it exclusively. It's only ever used to tip off a boilie. I've not actually glugged a plastic bait (Yet) but I do use flavoured ones. Over the last 12-18 months, I'd say that Korda IB flavoured have produced the best results.
  16. Hello mate and welcome. I nearly always use a rig ring with a D rig.
  17. Drill a hole in them and put in a bit of cork stick. You can then tie it on to a chod rig, or hinged stiff rig, with some floss.
  18. PVA nugget. It's irrelevant what you use for the hair then. I use one every time. I know that the hair is never tangled and I have a good presentation.
  19. Buy some Fox lead clips. They have a pin that you use to make it semi fixed, rather than relying on the swivel to 'click' like Korda. The Fox clips are much better than the Korda and allow the quick change. The Korda clips don't touch the Fox ones IMHO. They're more interested in dumping tons of lead on the lake bed instead
  20. That's what I do. And using the Fox lead clips it takes seconds to change from running rig to semi fixed. Dal , just changed it for you mate Oops. Thanks Tim  I'm watching the Olympics as I type so am not paying full attention (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it )
  21. That's what I do. And using the Fox lead clips it takes seconds to change from fixed to semi fixed.
  22. I use mouth trap and a rig ring. Tie the bait on with dental floss.
  23. I'd be using Korda Super Natural for the boom. It's much more supple than the N-Trap and will lay more naturally on top of the weed. I'd then have either a D and a rig ring on the back of the hook, or a micro rig ring and a hook bead on the stiff section.
