  1. If you read the link in my post for the naked choc you will see that Korda claim Ben Freeman (Who incidentally is not a Korda consultant ) invented the rig. If you read the link on the KD rig, Korda claim that Steve Eves (Who is also not a Korda consultant ). I have no idea whether either of these anglers actually invented the rigs in question, I'm merely pointing out that Korda clearly do not claim to have invented either on their website
  2. Just for clarity; Korda have never claimed to have invented the naked chod or the KD rig
  3. I actually think that on a very weedy lake, and if you are allowed, braid is better and the way to go. Although I did post it knowing it could spark a well overdone debate again
  4. I'd use a braid. Its definitely the way to go  Along with bigger barbed hooks of course
  5. Two stunners (Which are definitely related ). Sounds like a great week Emcee
  6. I got an email last night and apparently the barbless and the chod krank are now available.
  7. They are going to be bringing out a barbless version but for some reason they didn't bring them out at the same time
  8. Since I've bought some I've only fished barbless lakes but I think they are a great hookpattern, really appeal to me. Good to hear they perform as well as I hoped While writing that, I just wondered why I haven't used them and crushed the barb
  9. If you're adding an additional knot to the line which has left your spool there is additional risk that it can snap, no matter what. If you want to go down that route then you have to decide how big the additional risk is and if you are prepared to accept it. If you decide to try it; I'd put on about 20 foot of fluoro. Should give you a nice big zone for feeding.
  10. You sure you're not buying Chinese knock off hooks? Snapped an Ace and opened up a Korda Seems fishy to me
  11. Don't like sarky answers, or people with a sense of humour See you in three years With regards to a sensible answer I've got 50lb Arma-Kord on both my spod rod and marker rod and, touch wood, it's never let me down yet.
  12. Was music even invented then?
  13. Embryo is a non profit making organisation (Although more than likely tax deductible ). There is no doubt that it will make Korda and Guru more money in the long run as a natural side effect of the good work that it will do. And rest assured, there is no one in the angling fraternity that I would ever consider a hero. I enjoy a good debate, and this is one of the few subjects that can be debated online with a minimal risk of being misconstrued / misunderstood. Don't apologise for having a point of view. I can categorically say that I will not become upset, irate or sulk because of an alternative point of view
  14. He is using his own money to start Embryo (Albeit he is asking for people to donate things, so I don't know how much of his own money )
  15. No, it's not. But any old excuse to bash DF. No need to bring common sense into the equation
  16. Correct, they (Daiwa) stuck £50 on the rod price. Nothing to do with Danny Fairbrass (Unless you believe that Danny Fairbrass sets Daiwa prices ) or Korda, therefore it isn't a reason that can be used to 'bash Danny Fairbrass'. An excuse maybe; but only to try and justify the undeserved abuse that is levied in the first place.
  17. Yep, £12 for an isotope is dear; mainly because you're paying half if it for the fancy packaging I bought mine of Ebay complete with isotope for a score each
  18. But that's Daiwa CM, not Korda
  19. Like what? Their end tackle is priced comparably with all other manufacturers (You can get cheaper, but you can also get dearer).
  20. I used Korda Dark Matter braid hooklink this week. Would recommend it (As I would N-Trap soft and semi-stiff )
  21. Ditto
  22. Agreed, but with a super sharp micro barb (I only ever use micro barb) i think the difference is negligible.
  23. This is the only pro for barbless in my opinion. Although, as you state, it is a fairly big one
  24. If everyone was the same, what a boring place the world would be I don't want to be normal, I want to be me
