rosstheangler got a reaction from cyborx in Korda Underwater 8 duplicate setup
The bead sits on the tungsten that is fused into the leader. Basically trying to get you to buy more Korda gear lol

rosstheangler got a reaction from keeno86 in Floater kit?
You generally only get frap ups when using bigger reels and small rings so I wouldn't worry about. If you want to go bigger look at the Shimano baby big pits they might balance well on those longbows.

rosstheangler got a reaction from keeno86 in Floater kit?
I recently got a Daiwa SS2600 to go on my ESP floater rod and is balanced to perfection.
Never been a fan of the older style Daiwa reels I had some 5000T's and thought they were awful but got the SS on some advice from the fat lad at Fosters!

rosstheangler got a reaction from newmarket in Pop ups in pva bags
The best wafter I use are from Bang on baits and they are actually called off the hook wafters. My opinion is that criticaly balanced, pop ups and wafters are all different categories of hook baits. But if we were all the same it would be boring.

rosstheangler reacted to Turnip in Carp dietary requirements and digestive system
Ross - the magical number is 40 degrees. Not for all, as the range is between 40 and 60 degrees, but 40 is the starting point.
As for Nash, nm - they have just (relatively recently) spent £350'ish thousand on coming in to line with EU guidelines. Somewhere in amongst the vast amount of money will be a pressure cooker or a vacuum bath that doesn't quite get to 40 degrees, I imagine.

rosstheangler reacted to chillfactor in Leadcore
Well I've had a good think about the rules,
1...barbed hooks only
2... rig checks
Oh & no peanuts or people based in Northampton

rosstheangler got a reaction from still scratching in Leadcore
I like to keep the lead on and just use as small as I can get away with.

rosstheangler reacted to liamclose in new chod rig
A knotless knot hair rig has always been consistant and realible for me but although simple its the tweakes to suit the situation make simple rigs so effective ie long hair, short hair, big hook, small hook, soft material stiffer material blow back or fixed hair understanding when to ring these changes will out fish all these bells and whistle rigs all day long Imo.

rosstheangler reacted to chillfactor in Carp in the lower Severn
The record was broken recently for the Severn barbel further down stream.
Severn Stoke was great years ago was devoid of fish after 07 floods but heard it's throwing a few up again now . I fish the Wye mostly these days when I go barbel fishing.

Steady NM, people might get the wrong idea if it's taken out of context
