  1. Managed to get my hands on a Fox Bonsai IG 2.75lb rod for £69.99
  2. Any idea where I can purchase one? I've been having a look but I can't find anything
  3. Hey, I've been trying to find the name of this rod I seen in a tackle shop a few years back. I'm pretty sure it was a 9ft stalking done by Fox, it only had one eye on it and then the line is threaded through the rod and out of the tip. Does anyone know what rod I'm talking about? Thanks
  4. Thanks man I've just had a look on ebay and I can get one for about £30. I fancy having a go at making a basemix mate Thanks mate I'll keep that in mind
  5. I think it depends on which rods mate, I find there's quite a bit of difference between my 2.5lb JRC LMs and 2.75lb Fox Warrior rods.
  6. Thanks, I'll order it and see how it goes. If the gun is too hard to work with, I'll look into getting a better one
  7. I've been having a look around and came across a coffee grinder.. maybe that might work? No luck on millstones though lol
  8. What's the best way to grind up seeds, pellets etc? I've been using a blender but I've found it takes a long time to turn it into a fine powder and even then, there's still some particles in it. Also, because of the time it takes, you can smell the motor burning out lol. Any suggestions? thanks
  9. After making a few batches of boilies and cutting them up, I think it's time to invest in a table and gun. I've had a look on ebay and found a table and gun for £20.32. Would this do the job? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Q-Dos-Bait-Rolling-Table-Bait-Gun-Combo-Carp-Fishing-Boilies-RRP-45-/310695961485?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item4856ec238d
  10. Is there much difference from a 3 wheeled barrow to a single wheeled one? I've got a single and I've been thinking of getting the attatchment for the back legs to turn it into a 3 wheeler. Is it just as easy to turn etc?
  11. The lake I'm fishing at the moment doesn't allow barbed hooks or artificial baits the rig I've been using is a size 8 hair rig with coated braid and 2 worms with a piece of boilie on the end to stop the worms pulling through the boilie stop. I keep the hair coated so it's thicker because I was watching a video the other day and the guy was saying thin line/braid will basically rip through the worm easier when casting. I have had good success with this rig catching carp to 20lb just I find myself changing baits every 10 minutes lol. I'll have a look into quikstop widgets now, thanks
  12. What's the best way to fish with worms? I've been fishing with a few on a hair but I find they come off quite easy.
  13. This year I started growing a few bhut jolokia chilli plants (ghost peppers) and was wondering, if I grind them up into a powder, could I use this to mix in with bait or would it harm the fish?
  14. I was doing a 24 hour session on my local river a few years back, the bank I was fishing was basically on a feild. Anyway, it's just got dark and I'm sat there tucking into a bag of monster munch when I started to hear something like footsteps behind me..these footsteps became louder until it started rubbing/scratching the back of my bivvy. So I jumped out of the bivvy to find the feild full of cows and one licking the back of the bivvy.. that feeling of relief to see it was only a cow lol.. wow.
