What youβve said is called fishing...... stalking is finding fish and attempting to catch them putting floating baits around lilies and weed and using them on the hook IS floater fishing π€π€π€ As youβve quoted you can take a horse to water ...... you canβt make it drink Are you sure your not another ex member who use to fish the Nene in the 70,s and 80,s πππ€π€ππ

Tackle I'd like to see invented?
snowmanstevo replied to Dicky123's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
I have a groundhog brolly for rainy day sessions or spring/summer/autumn overnights......... it weights 3 kilos..... have it as high or as low as you like..... -
Stalking is not setting up and waiting for fish to return after several hours πππ€π€ Thats called prebaiting or setting a trap.......... stalking is finding a fish,be it feeding or not and attempting to catch it.......... or am I missing something here π€π€π

Maize, chick peas, kidney beans and peanuts........ if itβs never been fished I wouldnβt even consider a boilie...... no need. Just a word of warning tho mate,if you do use said baits make sure there fully prepared. If you want to make a few margin spots in the weed give it a rake and get some wheat and groats in...... they will clean an area off nice for you and all the above are very cheap and carp love em. Let us know how you get on,mate. π¬ππ£

When I order from ABS they say it will be a week....... theve never been late, and I think im a bit further than smufter...... in saying that Iβd of given myself at least a 48hr lead...... I got semi preserved for my french trip and they was fine,I did freeze em when I was home tho ππ¬

I know the post is about the wages but these lads sacrifice a lot even more so than ever they canβt even fart without getting called for it....... good luck to em I say

I really rate Bale...... top notch on everything he does and has not had the respect he deserves at Real. His pace and set piece delivery is amazing and when heβs on a charge heβs virtually unplayable....... just hope he doesnβt go UTD π±π±π±π± ππππππ π₯YNWAπ₯

Canβt help you but I know a couple of members that can,,,,, theyβll be on some time today ππ¬

What team you support Elmo π€π€

I donβt blame Bale, the wages in footy is ridiculous but if clubs are daft enough to pay it why not !!!!!! As always itβs the fans who get hit in the pocket π

For slack for me and if Iβm using my rods for pike or catfish. I have a set of rods for perch fishing where I made my own rod clip from old catty elastic and a cable tie...... looks rather rubbish but does the job.

Just to play devils advocate......... if we all went with the cheaper, none angling based products as mentioned above with the said bore tool........ how long would our already dwindled tackle shops survive. π€π€π€π€π€ As Iβve already made clear I luv a bargain, but it has to be a bargain a tenner or twenty Β£ cheaper. I ainβt gunna split hairs over the price of half a pint of Guinness ππ Its gone on for years not just with tackle but also as some will know with bait as well. Thereβs always somebody doing the ripping off and thereβs always somebody being ripped off,by who and how much is entirely your decision ππ¬

A few Β£ try Β£30. My bulin cost me Β£15 from China (albeit it with a Β£5 off voucher) and is exactly the same bar the ignition has Trakker on it as my mates........ he payed Β£45 for his...... now that is carp tax. I like to remind him every session that when he brews up his tea tastes better than mine due to his superior and vastly more expensive stove. π€π€πππ¬

As per my 1st post,Nige. Not for me personally Iβm too much of a skinflint but Dave who came Horseshoe with me likes his carp bling and heβd get one of them, and who are we to say what people spend there coin on.

Alan Blair's little black reels?
snowmanstevo replied to Dicky123's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
I got the Nash Dwarf BP4 reels for my barbel fishing, last year, for Β£28. Lovely little reels not all Nash is trash ! In saying that my stringer needle lasted 2 casts ....... thatβs fishing gear for you sometimes ππ¬ -
Would you not consider the enterprise fake ones with a few crush lives in a bit of PVA Mufty π€π€ a lot less hassle and as anyone whose caught on fake corn, still do a job ππ¬ππ£

Iβll stick to using my Swiss Army knife to whittle away when I fish Snowmen baits. But Iβve got a couple of mates whoβd buy this, they just like buying fishing stuff and who am I to complain if they do,they donβt drink or smoke so like being tackle tarts πππππ£
-
I actually got there ninja black due to catfish liking the betaine in it. πππ Iβm an MC Nut mixed with i bait fan, done well mixing them on my local water. ππ£

The new ABS bait has been amazing in testing,so Iβve heard π¬ππ£

Old Rigs... save or chuck/disassemble...????
snowmanstevo replied to bluelabel's topic in UK Rig Tying
Same as above I will give the odd hook a little tinkle with the sharpener and keep em if Iβm fishing an easier water -
Frank (Levsig) put a link on here last year I think of what he uses in Scotland (and apparently they get them really bad up there) about some electrical thingy that repels them. I remember looking into it coz mozzies blooming luv me ! Donβt think it was cheap but in the same breath what price uneaten legs....... I feel your pain mufty, mate.
-
Twister that mate and you can get them in barbed, micro and barbless
-
Practise makes perfect mate, tie a few even with some mono if you donβt want to lose braid youβll soon get use to the size of loop you need and the break in the coated braid is too big just a small nick is all thatβs need. Before you know it youβll be doing loops just big enough to get round your hook and have a nice well presented multi-rig. 90% of my rigs are multi-rigs I have total faith in them and have been using them for around 4 years. They are a decent bottom bait rig,as well πππ£

Iβm sure I read on here many moons ago that one of the members called it a day after watching the underwater stuff and took up fluff chucking because he couldnβt get his head round how many times we get done.ππππ Them pesky carp can sometimes be one step ahead ππ¬ππ£
