  1. And Korda bashing !!!!! Nash/Korda do good and bad stuff......
  2. If allowed....... zigs !
  3. Got something similar...... does exactly what it says on the tin ! πŸ˜‰
  4. I’m on the Lymm ticket, mate. I think we have around 5 stretches with an average drive of just over an hour for me.
  5. Time and a half m,as well πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜¬
  6. Was up at 5 yesterday for a 6am start......... in Work 😩😩😩😩 Around 9 a small chlorine leak sees our job stopped. By 9.30 told to get yaself home no more work being done today (Health and Safety really is your friend..... sometimes) πŸ˜†πŸ˜† oh and your payed till 6pm...... RESULT 😎 Phone call to matey boy asking if he fancied a drive and a couple of hrs later we’re on our club stretch of the Severn in Atcham. It’s 2pm by now so 2 rods flicked out kettle on and time to top my tan up as it was a lovely day with clear blue skies....... not ideal conditions but after an early rise for a full day in Work to be sat by the river still on pay i wasn’t going to grumble πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜Ž Unfortunately nothing of any size graced my net but a switch to lob worm on one rod seen me catch a steady supply of perch and breamπŸ™„ a small chub on the pellet rod. Fished till dark ended up with 20odd fish and had a good day with a mate. And I still managed to get home and showered in time for MOTD ..... happy days 😬
  7. I see what your saying but if your child didn’t like angling chuck the stuff on eBay and take a Β£40 loss. I was just trying to compare angling to other hobbies/pastimes mate. A local commercial will charge around Β£8 for a full days ticket,I wouldn’t have a clue how much a round of golf is but I’m thinking around the Β£20/25 mark for a few hrs (any golfers on here who can put me straight) Footy is even worse...... Β£45 for 90mins πŸ™„πŸ™„ My point being after an initial outlay basic angling for a dad and lad is cheap as chips.
  8. Is fishing in decline........ not yet,but will be in 10/15years time almost definitely. Dont be fooled that the X Box generation is to blame,it isn’t. The home video game exploded in the early to mid 80,s the thing that changed the next generation to get off there backside and back fishing was commercials..... No more club ticket needed just pay ya fiver and catch plenty of 1-5lb carp all day. If said before where I grew up a small town in the N/W there was at least 5 places you could get maggots/tackle etc in the 80,s by the end of 2,000 there was one poorly stocked shop. I also disagree that fishing for other species is on the up...... if that was the case why are most tackle shops 80%. carp based πŸ€”probably because carp kit is the biggest seller. Fishing is cheap, very cheap. Gone are the days 30years ago when you was forking out Β£60 for a decent rod. For Β£100 you could rig your nipper with a half decent set up that will see them catching fish all day. On the few occasions I go a home match at Anfield I’m lucky if I’ve got much change out of Β£150....... that’s quite a few fishing trips !!!! When I was younger Our local pools was full of my mates and lads around my age as well as the grumpy older ones πŸ˜†πŸ˜† but as I fish my various waters in my club waters the youngster just ain’t there.... and it’s free fishing for anyone under 16 as long as there with an adult ! I think the main problem is this current generation the teenagers/early 20,s just aren’t interested in fishing as crazy as that sounds. Whether they just don’t β€˜get’ it or there’s far more appealing things to do (and don’t give me the X Box excuse) because trust me I was rarely off my Atari/Spectrum at there age,the only time I wasn’t was when I was fishing !!!!! Gaming NEVER stopped me angling,I just truly believe that the youth of today just ain’t that interested in angling as much as we was at there age. Everything changes per generation...... footy changed, computing has changed everything has change, including fishing. Of course there will ALWAYS be Angler’s just not the numbers we’ve known for the last 50 years, which is sad really. Thats my two peneth anyway 😬
  9. Fish landed, bail arm off,net broke down, onto mat and fish unhooked. It’s not exactly rocket science πŸ™„πŸ™„ As has been said probably a new must have Korda thingy bob coming out πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜¬
  10. When we’ve been in our lake pulling lillies lads have had fish bump into em getting at the hidden gems...... I’ve certainly had them spook from the murky waters as we’ve gone back in after a Fag break !
  11. Nice one mate,good luck 😎🎣
  12. Nice,mate. Where you heading ?
  13. I’m solely in the Active Bait Solutions (ABS) camp. Been using there bait for 6 years now and unless something drastic happens will probably stay with them forever. A great company and an amazing bait...... the only problem I have is there so much to choose from 😩😩😬 Did 4 years on there plan b done the last few on there i bait. My catch rate always holds it own on my water that sees quite a bit of mainline/sticky baits going in. I buy chick peas unprepared and will usually have them in some shape or from in my particle mix but I’ll be honest I’ve never used em has a hookbait as all of my fishing nowadays is pop ups or zigs πŸ™„πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜¬
  14. It depends how you hook it,Nick πŸ˜‰ 30 seconds and it pops to the top 😬
  15. Fishing!!!!!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ£
  16. Wasn’t that big rig that karked it ?
  17. So the records been broken agaIn I see. Captain Jack apparently.
  18. Yes,mate, that’s the one you’d of passed a big dirty petrochemical works...... that’s my work, unfortunately, the waters are by there. Glad you enjoyed your stay in the sunny N/W mate 😬
  19. Your up in my neck of the woods mate 😬😎
  20. I’m a Diawa Sensor in brown, been using it for many moons now and ticks all the boxes for my fishing. I use the 12 and 15lb and can’t see me changing soon. When I do use fluorocarbon it’s always been X line.
  21. Julian Cundiff catch’s 100,s of commons compared to mirrors. Obviously some of the waters he fishes must be dominated by commons but I read this wk he’s been fishing park lakes with mixed carp in and still hauling in the commons. He’s on scopex squid I think so maybe that has something to do with it πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” who knows. Not bait related but I have found Our commons in our local water wake up from there winter slumber a few wks before the mirrors do. In summer 4 out of every 5 fish landed are mirrors. From January to March 2 out of every 3 are commons πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜¬
  22. As tommy cooper would say β€œjust like that” πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜¬
  23. Mines just come back from a soggy 3days at creamfields πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜¬πŸ˜Ž
  24. Ian Carter,Manchester lad. Superb service and leads,mate. He’s on Facebook,mate.
  25. Yes. There not as good as the multi rig. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜¬
