Tbf I got my groundhog brolly last year on a 4hr deal off AD for £75 2 days before Black Friday. Still can’t get it anywhere under £100 and it’s been a cracking bit of kit mega light,sturdy enough and my stealth hasn’t seen light of day this season due to it 🙄😂😂😬

Can’t help you with venues but I can help with your set up. As the lads have said line is far too heavy 8lb would be fine. Small method feeders (not elasticated ones) with a 4/5lb hook length will see you able to land fish into double figures quite easily especially this time of year. I’d use corn/pellet/maggot this time of year on anything from a 16 to a 10 hook depending on venue. A commercial with a decent head of fish should be your choice and look to try and target any islands or deeper margins or Reed areas. Try to keep the feed to a minimum and don’t be afraid to have a cast around until you find the fish. Try to use your line clip if your not comfortable casting to islands but I would advise against it if the fish are double figure size. This time of year fishing for bites is your best bet some of by biggest winter carp hauls was feeder fishing for bites on 16 hook and two dead red maggots. welcome to .com and good luck 😬😎🎣

Agree with Yonny but one thing I would add is watch the weather like a hawk. Even the smallest spikes can be a window of opportunity and on my winter water between 11:00-15:00 is always good when the winter weather is a bit milder. I’d also add that at least one of my rods would be on a zig,if allowed on your water. Good luck work hard at it and hopefully you’ll have a few. 😬😎🎣

Well done. You water sounds very similar to mine a very windswept barren middle of nowhere sheep ridden place ......... I’ve seen the best of kit get smashed down there on stormy days tho my jrc stealth brolly is still the only gear I’d trust on my water in real bad conditions. Nice fish and I also notice you’ve got wind turbines,just like my place ......... I’ll be looking out for zombie sheep on my next session down the Marshes. 😱😱😂😂😬
