Getting rid of some of the pad's, getting rid of peg 3, changing the system of the pool as in will then be 4 double swim's to book either for the weekend or the week, and stocking more carp apparantly.
I am getting married next year don't want the usual mad night bender so thought about a long weekend fishing in France. Could anybody help suggest anywhere where you can fish possibly friday to monday or something close, i know most place's take week booking's.
Also if there's anyone who'd fancy it, let me know, the more the merrier.
Looking at June time next year.
Thank's in advance
Anchor meadow on the Avon, fish.
Unicorn Inn on the severn, avoid. Especially holiday's or the weekend.
Ironbridge on the severn seem's nice.
I'm sure there's a boat load i don't know of, might be worth having a walk round a few stretche's and seeing for yourself?
Theres a place called Betley mere in Stoke. About 250 quid a year if i remember rightly, a friend use to fish it. Fish to over 30 i think. Not sure on contact details though, i'm sure theres an old thread or two lying around on here somewhere.
Well done mate, nice days dangling by the sounds of it. I wonder what it's like to have a bend in your rod Saying that i do get a few bends in my rod, normally when i'm retrieving a big ball of weed
I think thosed are used particularly for depths over 12ft. I personally would start at around 2ft. And wouldn't go above 5, theres not really any need to, if there that close to the surface, you should be floater fishing, more fun too.
I used anything i wanted there, but then again i never had them trying to give it the big un when i first got there. Its very silty so long hooklinks and bottom baits for me. Hemp and corn too. I also done well on zigs there and off the top, never seen anyone else doing it on there for some reason, preferred sitting on the bottom all day when the fish were cruising Let us know how you get on
Quite suprised to hear of a few bad experiences there to be honest. Like i say never had a single one myself. What i will say though, if you can put aside the baliff and his son and who ever (they do only come round once then leave you to it once they've got their money) then there are some absolutely beautiful carp to be caught. And it is a beautiful water and its surroundings, been over 130 years old
i can understand how much it must have wound you up, i'd have felt the same had it happened to me. Having said that, i fished there for 4 or so years and never had a experience like that what so ever. The money is a joke though i agree, thats why i pulled off in the end
