  1. How you doing mate?
  2. Thanks Ian, been a while since I visited!
  3. Love it, hope your well mate.
  4. Thought as much, cheers chaps.
  5. Has anyone got these? If so how have you got on with them? And is £35 for the set of 3 or for 1? Got a bad feeling about that answer lol, can't find out other than it says 'set' but I'm guessing that's for the arm etc that comes with it. Need some new bobbins so fancied trying these, but may think again if they're 35 quid for one!
  6. Strange but true! Now there was a good show!
  7. It'd be easier if you tell us what you already know about it and can then try and add anything you don't know
  8. Buy lead clips without fixed swivels inside and put your own quick link in it. Should solve what you after if I've read it right
  9. I still use them, along with Fluro hooklinks
  10. It's up to you which hookbait you use. I know a few people who love a pop up over a bag and is their 'go anywhere' set up. I personally don't use pop ups a lot but I wouldn't not use them in this presentation. As always, try both, see which hookbait seems to be working, and stick with it. It could change from lake to lake, day to day on same lake, or even through one session.
  11. Noted Welcome to the forum mate
  12. Nice one John
  13. What is the rig you use in the majority of your fishing? What's it made up of? How does it present itself? What is it about the rig you use that makes you use it over anything else? Be great if we could all add pictures of the rig your currently using so everyone can see, and we can see how different we all do things to each other. Even better if someone ends up learning a thing or two they didn't know and end up using someone else's rig because it suits their fishing better! I'll add mine when I get home
  14. I used to always use IQ in 12lb. Even though it's a fairly limp material I use to do well using it for zigs too short to medium length.

    running rig

I have the lead running on the mainline, down to a buffer bead over a swivel, which is where the hooklink connects. I have never had my hooklink wrapped around the mainline, with any size lead. I can't picture what your doing wrong it sounds ok. One added thing might be worth trying is rig booms, helps kick the hooklink away from the lead, I have these on every rig.
  16. Welcome back Woody Missed them myself Carl
  17. Ah....... I've missed these threads....
  18. If you like the power link I would stock up on it as ultima have gone into administration Really? I wasn't aware of that, will have a look, cheers
  19. Does it have to be braid? The lakes I fish are very silty, and I've done really well on ultima power link and IQ when I'm out of power link and waiting on more. I use to use braid and coated braid but have done better on this.
  20. Right you wait till Cromwell It won't be of any use on me after you've used all its strength on smashing the ice so we can get our rods in lol
  21. Please use the search facility, it's what it's there for dont you know!!!
