  1. I'm still in for anything i thought horseshoe sounded a bit big and scary lol but having watched a video you don't have to be able to chuck 150 to get a bite I'm a little more comfortable with it, I'm pretty used to weed so that doesn't worry me too much, does look like a place you need to get location right though and that could be tricky with a group of us~ but I'm up for the challenge
  2. Terminal tackle UK do a loader kit https://www.terminaltackle.uk/product-category/pva-accessories/ I guess there refill bags may also fit others might be worth checking sizes, they seemed to melt OK but I prefer to tie bags as I find I can get them tighter and neater and it's less faffy
  3. I can't see them staying on with my casting 😂
  4. I also now like to tie up my bags fresh, I now use the korda bags, I think they are great tbh, I like the little yellow scoop makes it a nice easy way to do a bag, once I am about half loaded I whack in a load of goo or other liquid then fill it up, tie it off with tape, I tried the easy loader licky licky type ones like fox but I think you get a better bag when tied up neatly,
  5. If I use nuggets I always stick 1 each side of the hook, they usually seperate then and you can usually see them hit the surface, if you don't consider a rechuck
  6. Let's do a recap of my v quick overnighter, what was learnt Arriving at 10 30pm and setting up in the dark wasnt too bad, fished a swim I know like the back of my hand so all 3 rods were clipped up and sent out in the boat fine, got donks on all of them, so was confident they were fishing. I thought about using the best rigs for for the situation for boat work , also some pretty good potential uses of pva mesh to be a little different, but keeping it all simple and quick change is key, lots to think about now 🤔 Set up by midnight, asleep by 1ish awake at 5 30, couple of cuppas watching the lake started pack up at 8, Mcdonalds by 9 and home, next week I'll be on earlies so can do more investigative work in the daylight, before having to pack up in the dark at 4am 😬 But I've proved I can do the work overnighter yay, something to build on now, And modular stuff is brilliant when you need to be quick and organised highly recommend the Wychwood comforter rucksack and cool bag, Loads of positives, I was well aware I completely bypassed the main key factor though location, but that will come as I start rebuilding the bigger picture I'm pleased today anyway 😂
  7. I downloaded duck duck go and I can now view the site as god intended thanks for the tip it was driving me bonkers
  8. Does this happen to anyone else? Its happened on my last 2 phones now and it's driving me bonkers doesn't happen on any other site jsit this one?
  9. Only thing I've got in Sept is my anniversary which is the 9th, so. If we can avoid that would be great otherwise I'm freeee
  10. Used to when I smoked doesn't worry me so much now, tbh I can't change what I do that much, I did spod with a nitrile glove on last week but that was more because I didn't want to get spod juice in my spider bite, I quite enjoyed having clean hands still afterwards though lol might be worth considering 😂
  11. Bank tackle do some xl ones that are pretty good, they are a bit longer and cover more of the swivel, I preferred those to normal length and they stayed in place better
  12. I'm a professional overthinker but I like tinkering with things, I would use that stuff without worrying too much tbh, ultimately it won't be worse than a corroded hookpoint, maybe do it advance like you say but if it means you still have a sharp hook point the next morning it's worth it, and if they have got close enough to find out with a sharp hook it's probably too late for them anyway
  13. Don't be scared of coloured kickers, I've caught using them especially pink I got some esp ronnie clips and I got some hooks prepped with shrink tube so I can just swap em over, personally I think shrink tube keeps the rig sat better positioned, the kickers can move and twist a bit but they are easier if you haven't got them prepped in advance
  14. Hi mate Really sorry to hear about your friend, that's terribly sad to hear, it sounds like he had an awful run of luck such a shame and a tragic loss, hope you are bearing up OK, if you need to chat or anything just drop us a message,

  18. I shall acquire some from work but thanks for the reminder 👍
  19. Blanked never stop learning, I did a pack down time trial, 36 mins from mess to car, this can be beaten too with better organising and thinning of accessories etc, when I got home I immediately then went on to mention about my work overnighter plan as it is going to be busy at weekends , didn't go too badly I don't think i need to be fishing regularly to make it count this year, Sunday night prebait drop in tuesday sounds like a winner to me 😂🥇
  20. Its not been bad still feels a tad chilly The hob nobs haven't survived I ate them 😂 Belgian bun for breakfast now, then a steady pack down, Fishing wise don't think I fished like a total cretin, found a couple of nice smooth spots, got 2 on solid bags and one on a ronnie, baiting wasn't terrible I was fishing distance @16 wraps 😳😂 all freshened up at first light but still no carps, if I blank its been nice to be here, and I learnt stuff,
  21. Yep 😂 It was one of those silly handle pots and the handle just stopped holding it and over she went Luckily I was a bit flustered after the school run when i went to the Co op and bought too much so i had Paninis instead Coconut macaroon hobnobs ain't bad either Nah you never know what's been there before me lol
  22. Yep that's my dinner on the muddy floor, got to catch now surely?
  23. Does anyone else only ever remember they need to fix their bivvy the next time they use it? I've lost a couple of screws that hold the poles in, but with some clever pegging I think i got away with it good job it isn't windy 🤔
  24. Hopefully you can just think of the good times, if you think you need to talk about things though just talk to someone it is better to get it out your system. Hopefully we can sort something out I'm sure others would be interested too if we got a venue and got the ball rolling a bit found a nice venue and that I did see an embryo one that could be booked exclusively which looked alright
  25. I'm really sorry for your loss mate, hope you are bearing up OK, if you need a rant or anything drop us a message I think I would quite enjoy a social if we can sort one, I'm happy to drive a bit too
