You still have the same bankside references with a deeper though, to me it is basically like a marker float only one that tells you a little more info Sadly I doubt your map would still be accurate, the pads and weed has changed a lot of previously great features, I tend to use my deeper as and when I need to find a spot,a rarely even look at the maps I've made, tbh I have used a bare marker lead and a deeper on Virginia both have a place because I don't think either tell you the complete story

Glad you sorted it, I soak my line for a bit then use a line spooler these days, I find it works well and gives you a fairly even tension, I took £90 in the end for them, another thing I don't have to store now, I'm quite enjoying getting money back rather than just spending 😂

If you are still struggling have a look at line spoolers, they help sort out the tension a lot, I sold my evos at the weekend 😭 How many washers have you got on your evos?

Literally up the road from me, but I've never fished it, the exclusive lake seems to have some nice fish in though,its probably a lot quiter there now too as the A14 has moved, I always planned to join one day but its kind of become a bit famous now and they've closed the waiting list maybe one day 😭 There is an award winning kebab van about 6 miles away 🥇collection only but it is a bit good 😂

Well so far my mobile approach has meant I've caught on all 3 of my rods 😂 Left bream (a double i should think ) Middle tench (quite a big one) Right rudd (1lbish) So at least my spots are OK Just need a carp now and I will win the drennan Cup 😁😂

Just caught my first fish of the year, A poxy rudd 😬 I barrowed but little point really can't move anywhere its rammed 😭

Car is loaded just got that tossy work thing to do then it's straight down the A14 to the lake, I am going full barrow mode today, I am traveling pretty light for me, no chair, no toy boat, essentials only, feels like the first chance I've had where I may have a chance 🤔

I have a pretty big car lol grande c max, The barrow bags are removable and have a zip lid top so I am now using that to just store all the bits in and when I am at the lake it slides under the bedchair which is nice, wheels and handles off frame folds flat, not too bad for space really

I'm not paying £15 a kilo for it, so it's probably not an out and out milk protien but it has lots of other goodies in and they do seem to love it, had some really quick bites using it so that will do me, I think I've got to the point now where it is about location being the most important factor and in the right place the baits will work well enough but some prebaiting won't do any harm 👍 Postman pat came this morning, have to say they both smell like winners, proper jobs always seem to come with confidence boosters in them, tangee peach smell lovely,, KLS just smell like carp catchers not dissimilar to both the baits I am using this year and both slightly odd colours, I don't regret adding these to the collection 😂

I would usually be always diawa but since BB turned me to the dark side, I'm in love with my okuma 8k reels they are amazing so smooth, so precise I honestly can't fault them at all much better than my shimano aerlex spod reel,and my old diawas only slight neg is they are a little weighty but they spend most of the time on the rests so it doesn't really matter 😂

I am using a mix of two baits this year one a milk protien that has a subtle fruit flavour, and loads of goodies in it, and a fishmeal that has no flavour but smells a bit like cat food or something, I used them both for a year each and both did me proud, so my thinking this year I will catch twice as much 😂 I do think the black pepper oil would be a good addition to the fishmeal though 🤔
