  1. I've been using Innovate Baits for a couple of years with no complaints. Great bait and comparatively decent value. And they have a decent range of steamed baits I'm sure you would find one you liked, they all seem to work and have caught a lot of the good ones on my syndicate.
  2. Terrible tragedy sorry for your loss, I remember asking about a bivvy heater once and you guys all told me not too. I never have, glad I listened tbh, sadly it happens too often. Hot water bottles, baselayers, a decent meal and some tea and decent sleeping bag.
  3. My spinner rig does work with wafters, the d rig kickers lend themselves pretty well to a wafting hookbait, I do think the the double B shock rig, might be effective for stopping them being able to get away with it, next time I go I will be using it, and with a pva bag clip on the swivel would make a decent little trap.if you want some decent bulk PVA mesh these are good. https://www.westmorepvamesh.co.uk/MobileIndex.php
  4. Pretty sure someone suggested it on here, when I was struggling with the x stiff
  5. Isn't it best to wet it before you strip it?
  6. What you just said makes me think deep down you want to try my spinner rig and that's fine it really is pretty great 😎. Avid d rig kicker (best d rig kicker) , spinner swivel, whatever boom you fancy, korda balancing weights for pop ups, quick hook changing, similar hookbait seperation, much less faff and comes tried and tested by me πŸ’ͺ Also if you are thinking of mesh bags you also need the double "beep" shock rig, I think it's a winner πŸ˜‚ Good luck with whatever you choose though.
  7. Loved this one,Great film.
  8. Look after your feet mate, they do a lot of work keeping you on the road, you wouldn't drive a car with bald tyres, keep that for your head πŸ˜‚
  9. Talking of socks can anyone beat my Christmas haul 22 pairs, πŸ™„πŸ˜‚πŸ€ΆπŸŽ„ I smashed it this sockmas.
  10. Good tip my Merino ones seem to have shrunk a bit in the wash
  11. I really enjoyed the book version just felt that fell a little short of the original story tbh.
  12. It was alright, kind of agree though, been watching dave lanes Gardner one also, I won't post it due to all the swearing it contains. They've basically lifted the catch reports from his patreon channel, and left in loads of effing and jeffing. Which to me isn't what I think a brand should be including in a Christmas special. Don't get me wrong I love laneys vids and subscribe to his patreon, but Gardner shouldn't be using eff and Jeff footage like that.
  13. Alpaca my bags πŸ˜‚ Merino are good, if you go in B and M they also do some socks which are pretty great, called hot feet or something they are labelled work socks, really thick and about a fiver a pair.
  14. Hydrotuff won't let you down. It's the only line strong enough to keep my button attached to my trousers after xmas dinner πŸ˜‚πŸ’ͺ
  15. Isn't a litre about the same as a kilo volume wise?
  16. Blank n white rod shot.
  17. Probably the sensible ones do I stupidly used the buoys on the rope not gonna help in the dark πŸ˜‚
  18. Nah its a pretty chilly one tbh but yeah does look good, nothing doing yet though. I did spend some extra time levelling my rods since that photo, they look perfect now πŸ‘Œ Also that dude won't catch he's got a massive spot light on the top of his bivvy, nods r us
  19. Well done Kev, great effort
  20. Thanks, I hope so I may have overdone the baiting 6 spombs of 12mmers πŸ˜‚
  21. Were having a go tonight, rods are on the old dance floor, new bait deployed with 2 rods on spinners with match the hatch pop ups and a single pineapple on a hinge, a few have been out recently (I photographed 2 earlier for someone) I'm as close as i can be without sheeping him up, come on the carps do some eating.
  22. Probably not nowadays,Cheap shimanos are pony, get some okuma Inc solid dependable and have a 5yr warranty.
  23. They do a 12.5" and a 15" but I think they look a bit cheap I did have a look at some in a shop a while ago.
  24. Yeah I've been looking for a while lol, that's the matrix ones in stainless I found, i have an 11.5" fixed rear and an adjustable 11" matrix black out, front bar, I bought the adjustable because the original back rest was too snug (9.5") Quite like the look of the dymag ones
