  1. This is a size 4 with a large korda kicker on it, I think it looks pretty good, I do also think it may be the same as the one they used for the picture, I scaled the pic the same size as the hook and they lined up closely, the size 5 didn't seem the same as the image, I have got the eye right up to the bend of the kicker though, maybe with a knot it might not present the same
  2. To be fair his cyprinus reviews have been pretty spot on, he did make the bunker look smaller than it was though is he really tall?
  3. Just got them in the mail thanks Yonny, I think you are right size 5 is right for the large ones, which will hopefully make the the xl right for the 4's, will be interesting to see if they do cos I think they are going to be a very handy edition to the toolbox 😁
  4. Skim reading through that did make me think I hadn't fully explored the multi rig, might have another look into it
  5. The more I look at these the more I think they are the perfect accessory for a hook, and simple to use too, you can make a decent bottom bait, wafter and pop up rig all without too much hassle
  6. I've had a quick look and the gape seems the same on size 4 and 5 it's just a tiny bit shorter, I will take them to work tonight and try and get some measurements and see what the actual difference is but my initial findings are that If a size 5 fits it wouldn't be a lot worse to use, I can't decide if it's a thinner gauge though so want to check first
  7. I've just tried to find one but I think it may be a korda one also, They do an XL one, would that be longer? Maybe also why it was modified a bit, I have size 4 and 5 trigs I will do a comparison photo if that helps, also if you know a pattern that kicker works with I can try and compare it if I have something similar?
  8. I wouldn't use a chod rig with a wafter, I would use a simple knot less knot rig with a line aligner personally, I haven't used the chod rig much but I would say it's primarily designed for pop ups (I will probably be proven wrong now) but just keep it simple, Personally I would spend the time learning to make your own rigs, there are plenty of good videos on YouTube that can teach you, Carl and Alex are great to watch, they have started doing tutorial videos, just get watching all of those and you will soon learn your own way, Bait is a personal thing really, if you find one you are confident in then use that, if your not sure have a good look around here there are plenty of threads to browse through on bait and rigs Good luck
  9. Just wondering the 30lb braid you are using is it the stuff that comes free on reels? I got some on my sonik vader spod reel and it wasn't very good, had weak spots and snapped, and it isn't a bright colour 😁 I use spider braid or the spectra braid now seems much better and yellow and doesn't cost the earth (50lb straight through) , I think that helps when spodding might need a thinner breaking strain if you want to chuck it far though, but for most general fishing it would be fine 👍
  10. There is a video or something somewhere, I think it was a Tom maker one, aaagh found it can't believe you didn't know that one 😏 I think it may have been framey that showed me it before 👍 https://www.carpfeed.com/fishing-advice/how-to/carp-hack-the-two-loop-trick
  11. I've got the same problem with my reel that's the same, I'd written it off as a stinky winky reel tbh so Let me know how you get on and if you cure it, I'll have a look at mine when I get a chance
  12. Thanks Dayvid Will have a better look on the laptop phone pics are too small at the moment, does look nice though
  13. I havent had a beer since January 1st 😢 I made it out the bunker is up and it's lovely nowhere near as small as I thought its pukka nice and comfortable for the cold season, I've even popped on the wrap full luxury tonight and feeling confident , the rods are both in action and it looks like I may have the place to myself soon and I didn't bring the snide 3rd rod 😭 Sometimes you have to do these things for a peaceful life 😀 no washing up though
