  1. I've actually got the levelite transformer chair, Robots in disguise 😎 I just checked the weight 4.1 kg so not the lightest but not too heavy 😊
  2. I agree with dayvid different chairs will suit different people, Ive just got a trakker levelite combi chair it's light, can be used on a bed and on its own and I find it comfortable for me, I do also have a Sonik sktek folding chair but I found this had limitations as I really wanted one I could put on my bed, as I was getting a bad back from being hunched on my bedchair so the trakker kind of suited me as I can sit comfortably in and out of the bivvy, I think it is quite expensive for a chair but it's fit for purpose so I figured if it lasts 3 years £30 a year isn't bad to stop me having bankside backache, after all if you are stuck in your bivvy and Hobbing about stiff as a board, you aren't going to enjoy your fishing as much 👍
  3. There are lots of great ones to try, I found I liked most of those ones, there are some good carp cast ones too if you find an angler you like the podcasts are usually OK, Frank Warwick has some great stories
  4. Another excellent catch report and wow what a cliffhanger ending can't wait to find out 👍
  5. That one was also a good one 👍 you can listen to most of them through an app called acast or Spotify that's all I use really, i think most are available on iTunes if you have an apple device I use both apps as some are only available on one or the other 👍
  6. Exactly set your own targets, make your own goals, find what works for you, if that isn't working or you think you can improve it then learn how to do that, naturally we all find things we can do better and make tweaks and improvements, and that is the greatest thing about angling, the only person you need to worry about is yourself, and that is why I like coming on here we can all learn and share freely and make improvements and suggestions without it being black and white or right and wrong, and someone else might have faced a similar part of a puzzle before and help you to see the wood for the trees 👍 take my new lake for example I noticed on my first trip they all seemed to have a thing for using bait boats, I could look at that and think aaagh they are only going to get caught from right under bushes or hard to reach areas, but I don't I think I will have to do the polar opposite and fish over a wide scattering of bait, which is also handy because my throwing stick doesn't seem that accurate 😂
  7. Sonik sks are pretty good, the ND S9 alarms get a lot of positive reviews, quite techy though, personally I prefer alarms that have things like volume, tone, sensitivity control,
  8. There are lots of other good ones out there, Korda one isn't bad, I do like the bait works ones generally, the carp cast is OK apart from all the adverts and sponsored bits, if you like Lee mozza Morris the dna ones are quite good and funny, and the Nash ones are OK, if you like comedy there are loads of good ones, basically podcasts are great I now rarely listen to music when I drive just podcasts these days 👍
  9. Not sure if you have heard it emmcee but the latest bait works podcast has Simon Bartlam on it talking about Dinton, thought you may enjoy it, I'm finding it quite interesting thus far
  10. I think once this virus is done and I can go to one, I will find a good local one to visit as I agree, you need proper eye care, my last one was brilliant but now miles away unfortunately,
  11. Yep I won't be going back to specsavers either and I will certainly get some better glasses next time My specs are scratched too now better lenses don't scratch, I got an anti scratch coating on them too 😁
  12. You just have to hope the lessons were learnt from all that then, nowadays it seems anglers have a duty to be more responsible, which hopefully helps when promoting and making new rigs up, fish safety is definately more at the forefront than it used to be, I was probably not fishing around then so wouldn't have seen it, we are probably all a bit guilty of it in the past, I remember when it was acceptable to have a split shot either side of your ledger 😱 I also think nowadays we are more educated on fish safety so it has become part of the process to fish as safely as possible, which can only be a good thing 👍
  13. I may just add a bit more to this I used the same optician for 20 odd years and my eyes were fine better glasses always and more expensive, , I went to specsavers last year for my eye test and glasses, got cheaper glasses but I also can't see as well and have had to go back to get the prescription checked and changed, I guess that is down to the quality of lense
  14. Fishing is all about opinions and using what you are confident using, its the only way to go really, I don't really get too jealous of other anglers tbh, I have no desire to be on the front of carp world every month or be the best angler, I just want to be better than myself, which is why I enjoy coming on here so I can learn more, I don't understand Lenard for this reason he seems a knowledgeable angler but he seems to want to be seen as the best and brightest but without giving anything away. It's almost like he wants to be taken seriously but people never have, and now he is angry about it, either that or he has an axe to grind with a growing number of people on here and can't see past that,
  15. Hi Barboss. Not sure myself tbh, might be worth emailing fox direct they will probably be able to help you, if you ask nicely they may even do a good deal on a replacement you never know always worth an ask 👍
  16. I need prescription ones ideally I think, I've got the fortis over goggles ones but compared to my old Maui Jim's prescription ones that I've had for years they aren't very good, sadly that isn't my prescription anymore, but I do think it would be a good investment to spend more on some proper ones,
  17. I don't use korda leads or lead clips as I don't really use lead clips tbh, so can't really comment My go to these days is a fox inline and a tadpole insert these are great tbh they have a enough grip for a bolt effect but easily free themselves incase of trouble, I also didn't see that suggested to do that with the bead, but surely people who saw it would have complained to them if it was a bad idea, seems pretty obvious that it could be dangerous to me
  18. Thanks I am sure his team would have looked I to any issues you may have had, if you had reported it to them directly,
  19. Sorry mate we love Danny on here, he does a lot of good work for fishing,
  20. Isn't fishing about 1% extras and confidence though,I would find it hard to be confident in a hook that I don't think will prick the hooks mouth as much? Which Is why I always use a straight point shark hook 🦈
  21. I do love an elvis juice 😍 I had already had this one before, had been a tough day 😁 It's a geekvape aegis 2 I got it cos it is meant to be bulletproof so far it is still elmoproof 🙄
  22. Could probably make a good variation on the Ronnie/spinner rig maybe ?
  23. Any clues as to whom it was ? 😁
  24. That could have been a film,a story like that, there is already a soundtrack for it 👍
  25. Beer and rig science this afternoon anything to block out the noise 😬 Different supple hooklinks same wafters, proper job dumbell with AAA shot not holding bottom(these are not even the super buoyant specials) and a retro cork wafter, I think the old sticky wafters aren't up to much weight it seems a 25lb supple braid doesn't get it up everytime , I am starting to think a 15lb or 20lb braid may be better for presentation, but I need a reliable wafter and the retro ones seem to sit right everytime the sticky ones don't always do what you expect, has anyone got any good wafter recommendations? But one thing the KD rig seems to present well though I've thrown them in and the way the hair sits seems to keep it from tangling, which is good enough for me at the moment, 👍
