  1. Im out at the moment but i'll refer to it again later Dan . I've always been taught slack lines wont work with Bolt rigs . Lets see what the others have to say
  2. I was reading earlier , an old issue of Carpology , and there was an article by/with a fella called Leon Bartropp. He's pretty well known i think and a regular in the mags . The article was something like "a rig to catch a carp to save your life" or similar . Now i cant remember much about his actual hooklength , i dont think it was anything special but the thing that caught my eye was his lead arrangement . Basically , semi-fixed lead , average length hooklink , lead clip and the usual stuff . With SLACK lines . How does THAT work ?
  3. That'll work mate , i think if these fish are relativley unpressured then what you have there , with a few free bits of corn/maize around it will do the trick . As they keep telling me on here , and i'm not very well equipped for it myself , ....location location location . Which is where , if you can , the prebaiting comes in
  4. Have you gi ven any more thought as to how you will fish it ?
  5. Dan , was there any progress here ?
  6. Good stuff ! Nosey [censored]s aint they ?
  7. They dont . BUT if your a bit para about it then i've been known to use a rig sleeve . You just have to make sure you get em in a bog enough size to fit over the swivel . They also kick the hooklink out on the cast to prevent tangles. Explanation on the packet mate. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=360374132117
  8. Dan try these mate on your mainline and use a perfection loop to add the hooklink . These swivels in the size of your choice are so much easier . You can google the perfection loop , no kinks , straight as a die mate . http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261216044712 Problem solved i promise .
  9. DD which quick link are you using ? Can you post a pic ? There are so many out there
  10. Thanks for pointing that out Milky i really hadnt thought of that , nice one . Yep the enterprise snag safe rings are very good , i used one on my weedy lake last time out . Are YOU aware of an inline drop off running system at all ?
  11. Tbh im not 100% happy about using any kind of lead clip in weed or dropping the lead but i can see how it might help. If you dont use a tail rubber Dal , how can you be certain that the lead wont eject on the cast ? Or is it a case that it just wont end of ? Apologies to OP for digressing off inlines
  12. Its ok ive sussed it out . Not inline but effective drop off system netherless . Dunno why i didnt think of this earlier , i have some in my tackle box too
  13. My dinosaur brain cant remember if i've asked this before at some point but : Is there an inline running lead version of this ? Something in my head is telling me i have :)
  14. Yes Dal i just looked at it funnily enough Will it work ok without a leader/tubing or is it a bit risky ?
  15. Nick , dont spose you could post stage by stage pics of that process at some point could you ?
  16. Everybody loves a leadcore thread
  17. Lots and lots of Carp Anglers often fish their baits on a "D" rig ie NO hair at all . And not just pop ups either . Wonder what facial expression that Bailiff would've pulled then ? Just a thought
  18. Things i do for you Ian These are blinding . Honest http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=371085125447
  19. I have a cheapo camping stove which has lasted me for years , used in conjunction with butane/propane cannisters abd one of these for me fry ups ...you can get em cheaper but i cant be asked to look http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161471952680
  20. Unless of course you are trying to watch it on an Apple device . Ok Dal you win Just as well , if Frank says its sickening then it would probably upset me anyway
  21. Oi Phil i never said it would be BETTER mate . Im not getting involved in this one im just sad for the fish and the environment wherever it is
  22. That answered my question thanks Frank. Scum indeed .
