  2. Was a good game . Lived up to the hype for a change . Now for that shower of dogs faeces tomorrow night . Wish they could both lose
  3. The toffees are in a sorry state i cant see Martinez lasting much longer tbh . Hope liverpool go to the plastics next week still in with a shout stevey .
  4. Chod rig Stiff hinged rig Withy pool rig Combi rig Google is everybodys friend jimmy By the way , imo simple is best so youre straightforward pop up rig is fine mate . Just need a reliably bouyant bait thats all and a good way to attach it , very short hair or D rig style

  11. I refuse to rise to that The wet spam thing that is . City need a break to get back into it methinks
  12. Can you get hold of PVA bags in OZ ? Or a Spod or a Spomb ?
  13. Sounds like a good 'un Jim , fished along with your hybrid you cant go wrong eh ? I'll probably be targetting a different much harder lake this year and can do with as much help as i can get so anything you dont blank with mate , gis a shout
  14. Always a straight forward running lead for me , unless im naked chodding Been experimenting lately with a few different set ups including inline running leads and shocker rigs and will probably continue to do so . Cant stand lead clipped semi fixed set ups , i get fed up with single bleeps , getting done and im convinced the Carp use the lead to throw the hook, although i have used heli-rigs and would afain if i deemed ut neccessary . Everyone to his own , you'll get loadsa different replies here A good read ...http://www.carp.com/topic/1872-semi-fixed-bolt-or-running-leads/
  15. Where did i say that pray ?
  16. When i mention tangles Liam i'm talking about after being " done " following single bleeps on the buzzer .I switched to running leads and , until recently , completely eradicated single bleep syndrome and improved bite indication tenfold . Until of course i bumped into mr Bream
  17. Strangely enough Liam , when im fishing i seem to be the only one slack lining albeit with running leads . I just wonder whether they are slack lining yet back leading too ? Would that make it APPEAR to be a tight line ? I used to do what you do , with lead clips etc but got too many single bleeps / getting done / tangled hooklinks etc so switched .
  18. Im out at the moment but i'll refer to it again later Dan . I've always been taught slack lines wont work with Bolt rigs . Lets see what the others have to say
  19. I was reading earlier , an old issue of Carpology , and there was an article by/with a fella called Leon Bartropp. He's pretty well known i think and a regular in the mags . The article was something like "a rig to catch a carp to save your life" or similar . Now i cant remember much about his actual hooklength , i dont think it was anything special but the thing that caught my eye was his lead arrangement . Basically , semi-fixed lead , average length hooklink , lead clip and the usual stuff . With SLACK lines . How does THAT work ?
  20. That'll work mate , i think if these fish are relativley unpressured then what you have there , with a few free bits of corn/maize around it will do the trick . As they keep telling me on here , and i'm not very well equipped for it myself , ....location location location . Which is where , if you can , the prebaiting comes in
  21. Have you gi ven any more thought as to how you will fish it ?
  22. Dan , was there any progress here ?
  23. Good stuff ! Nosey [censored]s aint they ?
  24. They dont . BUT if your a bit para about it then i've been known to use a rig sleeve . You just have to make sure you get em in a bog enough size to fit over the swivel . They also kick the hooklink out on the cast to prevent tangles. Explanation on the packet mate. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=360374132117
