  3. They are what salmon fisherman use when fishing fast flowing shallow rivers with lots of rocks & sharp stones etc , matt finished and "slippy" . I dont use leaders myself , no need , but 60lb fluorocarbon ? Yeah mate imo jobs a good un AND virtually invisible . Some may disagree but certainley something for you to consider .   12. Actually i got the idea after using the 175's , fly hooks being strong but cheap and all that . Must be honest though and say i've never used 'em ?

  14. I cant remember if i mentioned it on this thread or another one but Carp-r-us have been producing a crank hook for ages and they do look very similar .

  19. Jon , how was your hooklenngth wrapping around the leader ?The very nature of the helicopter set up ( also known as the rotary ) dictates that it canNot happen ie its rotary ? In my experience the only rigs ( apart from the choddy ) used on heli set ups are basic bottom bait rigs ? I have of course set myself up to be shot down in flames having said that

  25. Well how about this . One of the lakes on the complex where i fish has had a fish kill . At least 16 20lb+ fish have gone belly up . Its very heavily weeded , has now had a load of lime slung in and there are at least 2 windmill type aerators installed ?
