  1. Bespoke recycled Carp materials . Has to be a few quid in that I should think …
  2. Ridiculous situation isn’t it Elmo ? Essex Angling in Grays Essex . They won’t get any of my business. I always supported my local tackle shop wherever I’ve lived but unless I’m in a shops vicinity by chance I’ll be getting everything online in future.
  3. Teach proper mate , that’s what I say lol. I haven’t got a problem with kids going straight into Carp fishing . I don’t agree with it as such but everyone to their own My beef is with tackle shops that don’t want their business unless they are spending hundreds of quid on shiny Korda and Nash gear . My boy will be mastering the basics before I even let him near a reel .
  4. Really ? Cos I can’t find anything on their website ? Besides mail order maggots ? He didn’t decide he wanted to go till yesterday 🙄
  5. Popped into a tackle shop to get some Maggots today and a couple of pole rigs . taking my boy to my nearest commie tomorrow for a few hours . I had to go to Romford to get em though My local tackle shop doesn’t sell Maggots , no demand for them apparently 🤦🏼‍♂️. I think it’s disgusting that these snobby cliquey Carp shops are not giving normal coarse anglers , beginners in particular, the chance to fish for tiddlers and do their apprenticeship in the way most of us did . No call for ‘em my arsenal ! 🤬 Oh and while I was in there I picked up some (gulp) Korda Ronnie booms , ESP braid versions of the same and a Korda naked Chod system set up . The fella that’s been making my Combi and Multi Rigs for me has also just received my specs for some Spinner rigs too . He’s very good which is just as well as my Arthritis would otherwise have me Whip fishing with Junior .
  6. I’m not a pike fisherman at all so I would never dream of teaching your Grandmother to suck eggs Rick . this link will help you decide I reckon . https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/enjoy-the-waterways/fishing/blogs-articles-and-news/the-fisheries-and-angling-team/summer-pike-fishing#:~:text=In general terms%2C the pike, fishing season on 14 March. Some people may , by the way , question whether warmer weather piking is morally correct anyway. The Pike Anglers Club might be another place to ask your question, my thinking is spinning sounds fun and there’s always the chance of a decent Carp getting sucked in as well 😉
  7. Hello Nick . Been reading through this thread again and i have a couple of noddy questions to ask you … How exactly do you mould a pva bag ( that has your rig inside it) around the lead ? when you say you ensure the pop up only just sinks , do you just trim the pop up down to get this or is it by other means ? Im possibly looking to go down this route myself in the near future ( for reasons I’ll be explaining in another thread) .

    Air Soft

    Worth a shot ….. 😂
  9. It’s freezer space that is my problem tbh but not too much of a problem , air drying for me is purely to solve storage issues . I air dry em in 2x 5kg bags till they’re like musket bullets and store em in buckets . 20kg does me for the year but half go in the freezer until she moans about space. Im rehydrating baits at the moment as an experiment as much as anything else but I’m never sure how long to leave em in liquid or even how much liquid as I want em catapultable if poss , every forum and/or video tells you their own preferences rather than any hard and fast rules and the one thing I don’t have is lake water 😊. Im usually in Nick’s camp and sling em in as bullets . Never seems to have failed but then how can you not have confidence in one of Mike Wilmott’s baits however you apply it ?
  10. Opening up an old thread , I tend to use a mixture of Air-dyed and rehydrated boilies , whatever I have available really . This year I’m rehydrating my B5 and Black Snails using B5 liquid Carp food and a sprinkling of stick mix over them . One question , I’m sure it’s just a matter of preference but when your boilies are rehydrating, do you keep the lid on your bucket/container or the lid off ? I wouldn’t want them to be TOO soft if you get what I mean …
  11. Don’t steal the fish 🤣
  12. I put the word ‘Jordan’ into the search . all clever stuff 🤣
  13. Interesting read Danny , certainly better than some of my Ill-thought out ramblings on here . I’m interested in your actual fishing method for the catch ? You know , rig style , lead arrangement, bite registration method etc and whether you consider it to have made positive contributions to your success there ? I assume being so close to the syndicate record your pics will be up on the website gallery very soon . Congrats and looking forward to reading more of your thoughts.
  14. Even Vicar’s go fishing
  15. Yeah website doesn’t even exist anymore. watching brief on eBay for flogging stuff off cheap I reckon
  16. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  17. Not like this one mate 😉
  18. You have mail mate 👍🏻
  19. I dunno if I’m honest . I’ve been looking on and off for years and I’ve never been able to get any information . JRC have changed and/or updated their Bivvy range regularly over the years but have never been able to find out if any of the newer wraps would fit the STi’s especially the 2man versions. Ian ( @welder ) owns or at least owned one at one time . if you see this post Ian do you think it might do the trick ? it’s an awful lot of dosh to waste on taking a chance , after all.
  20. Just popped on to say I’ve been looking for one of these for Donkeys years. more chance of West Ham staying up.
  21. Hello mate , I fear you may have to bite the bullet and buy from the uk . this thread is old but the tackle firms suggested are mostly still thriving . good luck fella 😉
  22. Hello mate , if Snowman Stevo sees this he may be able to assist. He’s a Scouser so will probably be able to suggest somewhere your boy can nick a few . Ouch did I say that ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  23. Moyes out ! Clueless er person .
