  1. Elmo is still trying to get Betty out of the lake so he can cast šŸ˜‚
  2. How’s it going ? Hope it’s dry for you, been raining down my way most of the day.
  3. I can remember driving past Oxlease lake which was a syndicate water back in the day to get to Hunts corner lake and thinking wow that’s an inland sea 😳 Oxlease is 26 acres, then fishing Horseshoe Lake which I think is about 60 acres But 200 Acres Corr šŸ˜³ā€¦just looked up the dock I fish and that’s 30 Acres which I thought was about 20 Acres
  4. I fish for Chub and Barbel occasionally on my local river and the Barbel never give up, a great fight..but to catch a large carp from a river I just can’t imagine it šŸ‘
  5. I would normally wish you all the best of luck.. but iv sent the lot to Arsenal tonight.. and their in need of it mate šŸ˜ A fishing trip is always better with proper coffee šŸ‘
  6. Had plans to finish early from work and nip over the dock today the sun was up and I fancied Zigs in the warm weather, apparently they do like a zig šŸ™„ Then had a call from my mates wife telling me I got to go fishing with him, ā€œhe’s doing my head inā€ was her words. He had a heart op around 6wks ago and has had a flu like bug since the op been indoors most of that time so with the sun out off we went. Had a great time, good catch up and a laugh in the sun we both had 2 Carp and a Bream nothing big around 8lb for the carp but on light float gear we both had smiles on our faces… Then it dawned on me I’m just as happy fishing for carp no matter what the size be it on a small lake for a mixed bag of fish up to mid doubles to a chance of a mid 40 on the syndicate.
  7. Great pics the Chub look fantastique šŸ‘

I use a Drennan match catty had it for donkey years, just renew the elastic when it degrades. Keeping it out of the sun helps it longevity. Perfect for floaters when you don’t want to much bait and single boilies on small waters. You can get a single boilies out a fair distance and accurately especially along a tree line.
  9. In my defence of breaking them i have got hands like Pat Jennings.. rust was a problem on mine always got my box open.. šŸ¤” tackle box I now save the little packs that collect moisture they come in the box when you buy trainers I pop them in the tackle box and my gadget bag

Iv got the Avid lime sticks with the curve tops I hate it when you take ages to fine a good spot after removing a ton of weed from the lake then realise you forgot to clip up šŸ˜

Their thin, do the grooves help a lot ?
  13. I thought the same looks like Ferraro Rocher chocolates šŸ¤” Must be a buzz when you catch off your homemade baits šŸ‘
  14. Most probably the price, which is the reason we opted for the S7 . We all chipped in and got a 100 kg bulk deal I had 3 buckets on the go with 3 kilo in each soaking with the Sticky Krill, put a bucket out every lunchtime ( which was hard going on the stomach muscles ouch ) Hook baits were the S7 and Sticky’s Krill, had fish on both
  15. Yup sure did it was so mild I didn’t have to use the heating element in my bag The carp are on the move now, birds are nesting, trees and bushes are in bud. Enjoyed watching a pair of Cormorants and Grebes showing me had to catch fish šŸ™„
  16. I took 20k of S7 for a France trip and done well as did my mates, also gave a old French guy who was fishing some and he had fish on it… he was so happy I had a bottle of home made wine off him.
  17. Alas a blank for me, could have stayed another 24 hours but was packed up and away by 8am as rain was forecast for 12 I fished well no dramas, highlight of the trip was watching a mid 20 swim lazily under by rod tips šŸ™„
  18. Best of luck boys šŸ‘
  19. Go on..why not, just take the 1 rod a mat and net small bag, no need for a chair you can use the mat to sit on… but that’s going to get wet when you get a biggie tho šŸ¤”
  20. Thanks, don’t think I could have managed without the new Tempest packs down so small an lightweight…best of luck to you if you manage to get out šŸ¤ž
  21. Over the dock today got to make more use of my ticket than I did last year, the last trip got cancelled šŸ™„ Defo got 24 hrs maybe more Here’s a pic of my new sort of barrow..
  22. Hi mate, get comfy a chair beside your pod would help, get all that bait and your drink in the pic and any food near the chair so there’s no need to walk away from your rods to get anything your close when you get the run, your on it straight away, some line can be stretchy also rods can be floppy which would give the carp a head start on getting in the snags. If your line is up to it thumb on the spool and rod high, very exciting fishing. You got to stay within arms distance of the rods all the time tho Best of luck šŸ‘
  23. @ Highy that’s a tuff schedule mate 😳 Iv had to work the weekend and late a couple of nights mid week to finish a job so it’s all systems go for an early tomorrow start got 24hrs but could go to a 48hr. If I can’t find the fish Iv got a backup plan… Been putting a bit of bait in two swims and when I couldn’t got a customer Iv done work for to do it when they walk their dog. You could say they live close to the water.

Happy birthday Elmo… It’s seems when ever you take the kids out you happen to come across a tackle shop was this a coincidence or a very cunning plan šŸ¤”
