I was fishing a club sea competition that went through the night till the following midday, was a lovely warm summers evening night with a slight onshore breeze no clouds almost a full moon. I looked up and saw a shooting star told my mate and he said to make a wish, I want a bass I shouted over…5 minutes later I seen another shooting star told my mate, go on then best make a wish then he said , I would like the Bass to be a double with my fingers crossed… just as the sun was almost rising I had my wish come true.

Always worth having a waddle in the shop, maybe put your reel on the rod to. iv even got the owner of the tackle shop to tie a 2oz weight on the top ring to see the action of the rod, which funnily enough was a Shimano Stradic feeder rod. Alan Scotthorne was with Shimano then so going back a bit.

Update..Iv used about a third of a bottle on the baits just dripping a drop on each bait when their dry every 2-3 days and giving the tub a shake I thought it best to see if they pop up and for how long so put a 15mm on a rig and dropped it in the bathroom basin 14 hrs later it was still popped up and the basin is a lovely greenish yellowish colour. 😏

I fished a popular day ticket carp water that had stocked catfish and I was shocked with the ferocity of them feeding on the sliver fish and no doubt small carp. Got woken up in the dark hours over the two nights by some nice carp and a couple of cats and as I was playing them most of the lake was in turmoil with the cats on the rampage. If you believe in Karma you defo do not want to come back as a sliver fish in a lake stocked with cats. 😳
