Well I thought I might as well have another night as I’m here got a early pack up tho apparently there’s a storm a coming A guy opposite has had a great session which included my target fish that went 40.4oz 😞 he’s fished well had 5 fish all above 25lb he travelled up from Devon nice guy and well deserved result 👍

Needs must mate. I used to use a biscuit tin lid and a couple of coins on the spool way back as did a lot of angler’s, now if they could replicate the sound of that on an alarm il buy a set. I bought the rods in while I slept… one of the pegs went flying this morning but it was pigeon hopping over the lines 🙄

Not a purchase as such more of an apology and gift. Back a couple of weeks it was an air dry your bait at work day. So I did but unbeknown to me the housekeeper on the job I was working at was feeding the baby seagulls from the bedroom window i was decorating with my bait 😳 laughing she apologised today and gave me two bags of homemade frozen bait and a tub of corresponding cork pop-ups. Her son is a Carp angler who belongs to 3 syndicates he gave them to me as as an apology for what his mum had done.

Didn’t Dave Lane use a type of sling, it took two men to use it to get baits out where baits had never gone before i think I read it in one of his earlier books 🤔

I can recommend the okuma 6000 inc great line lay, nice size spool, good drag and around £60 got a 5year warranty. I use them with esp 10 rods

The reels are going to be quite old mate so you’ll be taking a chance with them … can you sell your cross casts ?

Got my set off the eBay about the same price as yours used them for around 5 years then sold to my mate who uses them regularly, I had no trouble with them 👍
