I used a thinner steel bankstick last week as a pilot hole, did the trick for the time being.

I was an avid user of a Pod, but now I'm between sticks/singles.... I now use the Sonik Stanz Split Sticks. Think they do the job for me and all fits into buzz bar bag with ease.

Got to Park Lake at 5am this morning....set everything up and had to nip off to a footy game with little en at 9am, kick-off was at 11am in Manchester....mate watched all mi gear while he was fishing too. Got back about 5pm....all set for night now, had a takeaway, mate has lost 2 fish already.

Really ?....when I had an eye insert fall out, they sent me the full rod worth, there customer service (to me) is 2nd to none....

Would it be a decent line to use ?, was toying of the Hyper Sensor in Gunmetal 15lb. No massive casts, it's on sale £9 a spool....no snag fishing, just margins and open water.

Just been to local Go Outdoors / Fishing Republic.... No Daiwa Sensor in Clear.... Had Daiwa Sensor Brown in 8,12,15. Daiwa Hyper Sensor in 5,6,8,12,15. Daiwa Hyper Sensor Gun Metal in 5,6,8,12,15 It was a weird 1 as the 2 hyper Sensor in 15lb was 0.31mm but brown 15lb was 0.37mm....

For all occasions really... I've used em all.... Korda Carpline, Korda Contour, Gardner GTHD, Wychwood DPF, Dawai Sensor Clear, ESP Synchro, Fox Soft Steel, Sonik Subsonik. All performed well,...Korda Carpline is to me an all-rounder, Contour sank like a brick but was too thick, GTHD was 1 of the better ones, DPF was a bit wirey, Sensor was joint with GTHD, Synchro was wirey, Fox Steel 2nd, Sonik the diameter was too thin so need to up the break strain.... Daiwa Sensor Clear 15lb or Sonik Subsonik Clear 18lb

Going off previous use, and the Tackle Box line tests.....

New reels, Calls for New Line (or is it just me).... Daiwa Sensor in Clear 15lb is looking like it.....Tackle Box line Test to shows it standing above the rest, also used it a few years ago. But I've been doing a bit of reading and looking at the Sonik Ultrasonik in Clear & Red.....15lb Red is the 1st colour to disappear under water (so it says)....

Mine is always etup in my Rod bag... I use the above for all uses, spudding, Marker, deeper..... I use the Sktek 3 rod bag, think its a compact, 2 rods setup on helicopter either side and marker/spod setup in middle...... For illustration.

Mine has lasted the time so far, spudding, marketing, using deeper....faultless.

I wish 🤣....it just comes down to Cost, Durability, Reviews, ....stuff like that, but the Customer Service is 1st class I've practically seen/handled most sonik stuff now, but soon the Extractor range will be there flagship products when all the luggage, beds, etc come out..... But we'll see what happens about my bivvy...

Sonik, can't fault them at all....had a Receiver that lost its pairing, sent new 1...had an alarm with led not working, sent new 1, Reels were a it squeaky, sent new washers for all 3...50mm eye insert missing on rod, sent full rod of rings...Sonik AXS Brolly had a crack in the centre spreader block, sent new 1...Sonik AXS Overwrap leaking, sent new Camo 1.... So I think they are No.1 in my eyes...
