  1. I wish 🤣....it just comes down to Cost, Durability, Reviews, ....stuff like that, but the Customer Service is 1st class I've practically seen/handled most sonik stuff now, but soon the Extractor range will be there flagship products when all the luggage, beds, etc come out..... But we'll see what happens about my bivvy...
  2. That is a few over the years, but to me some of them are only small problems. That is a few over the years, but to me some of them are only small problems. Maybe 1st productions?, but none have them.have been repeat problems.
  3. Sonik, can't fault them at all....had a Receiver that lost its pairing, sent new 1...had an alarm with led not working, sent new 1, Reels were a it squeaky, sent new washers for all 3...50mm eye insert missing on rod, sent full rod of rings...Sonik AXS Brolly had a crack in the centre spreader block, sent new 1...Sonik AXS Overwrap leaking, sent new Camo 1.... So I think they are No.1 in my eyes...
  4. I leave reviews on there site....awsome company service
  5. I had the same issue with the khaki green wrap, took nearly 10months to get a replacement, and I got the new Camo version.
  6. I think I'm in the market for 1 now..... Was out for a 24hr yesterday got back about n hour ago.... 2 areas on the bivvy, was letting in rain, its only the 11th time using since new, and only 2nd time used without the overwrap, Sonik has had a few pictures and a video....await there reply.
  7. Think next week up North it will happen on lakes that haven't, 20oC + from weekend.
  8. Mate went the park lake today, only him on, no fish though, apparently he says quite a few said they be on tomorrow night for weekend (it's free fishing) and will be full with about 10 anglers fishing. If worst does happen while I'm there, I'll just have a good camp out 😁
  9. Apparently the local Memebers lake I'm on haven't even paired yet, never mind spawning....think this is the only lake in Wigan that hasn't....so do I risk going on Thursday or do I go the Park lake.
  10. Updated Line Test.... https://www.tacklebox.co.uk/knowledge-base-en/tackle-box-tips/line-at-what-strain-will-it-actually-break-en.html
  11. I can now get the Daiwa Crosscast for £93.50 each....think they will be on my rods tomorrow.....as I've no reels now at the moment 🤣🤣
  12. Just read on Okumas website that these are a long cast spinning reel....unless these are the Okuma 8K FD version 🤔🤔🤔
  13. I've had Daiwa feeder reels when I was on the Match seen, and the old Gold and Black Daiwa Emblem for Carp fishing...that's all really. Both were just as good as each other...the Shimano I had a few go's with a mates, the Crosscast I've handled in store.
  14. I'm now between the DAIWA CROSSCAST 45 SCW QD or SHIMANO ULTEGRA 14000 XTD....I should have a set of 2 at least by the end of the week... The only thing is that, Fishing Republic have the Daiwa there n then (New), but the XTD I'll have to scour the sites for (2nd hand).
  15. Was looking at the Shimano Aerlex at 1st....but now on the Crosscast 45 QD.
  16. A mate has the Penn Affinity reels, don't know which model though, maybe the Penn ll...both Angling Direct and Fishing Republic local to me have no stock of any.... The Westlake are rubbish, very cheap plastic feel.... It's looking like the Crosscast for me at moment, unless I get hold of some ultegra 14000....
  17. Just watched a few Vids, 1 with Adam Penning, good bit of kit, the local FR has no Oku.a in stock when i was there....Daiwa, Shimano, Sonik, Prologic and trying to front out there new Westlake range.
  18. Just had a trundle down to local Fishing Republic... Daiwa Reels now.... Crosscast 5000 C QD....£79.99 reduced to £69 now, only 3 left. This felt light in the hand, had a good retrieve on turning. Crosscast 45 SCE 5000C QD £109....this is my favourite of em both, slow retrieve, also light. Both reels have half turn drag from lock to free spool... Thoughts please....
  19. Nearly 12 months for this Topic (obviously 😄)....any water's started Spawning for people yet.... A few round near me have, some you can see are starting to pair up.... So....is it worth leaving it now until around start of June, or if did go, is it worth fishing just in the middle of a lake out of reach of the spawning carp?.
  20. Can't fault the power Jars 💪
  21. From who Elmo?....Monster ?
  22. Get in....Any pic Elmo ?...
  23. I've heard a lot bad reviews about them....the Carbon baits was recommended by @yonny could not fault the service or product. There's a place near me I'm going to try as I can pickup locally .... https://perfectedparticles.co.uk/ Heard some good things about these guys....
  24. The Carbon baits Particles are brilliant, I've used 1 jar ready, fishing 1 pieces of fake Slow sink Maize, just wafting over the top. Mate has ordered some today, that's what we was using at weekend, 1 small scoop of this with about 10 boilies in the Boat hopper, after every bite...you all seen mate did well, we had 14 fish between us. The slik it gives off on when contacted the water, also when you can see the fish munching over it too. I think I'll be ordering some more 😏.
  25. The rod licence is for the fishing rod and the game or coarse fish you're allowed to catch. A permit or day ticket gives you the right to fish in a particular fishery. You must have a fishing licence for England and Wales if you’re fishing for salmon, trout, freshwater fish, smelt or eel with a rod and line. When you purchase your club/syndicate ticket, you are then given permission by the owner to fish, also giving advance of when you are fishing also. Also following your local bylaws in your region. Mine runs out 20th May, always carry actual licence and phone for other personal reasons and will be a back up.
