  1. On the for a new bivvy....this has to be "The One for all"...
  2. I'd love to be out doing any fishing, but work, time, family has tied me up for at least the next 6 week.
  3. Think this year fishing is over for me now..... On the last of my Night Shift tonight, done 3 weeks (cant complain though, half the work and double the pay)....work is manic at moment. Wife has an operation next week, so that's 4 weeks recovering, then Christmas. So new year I think it is.....
  4. New Bait com8ng from Sticky soon....think its a Squid Version.
  5. Just come back from walk round the park lake, 2 lads on, 1 lost 2x fish due to being snagged, 1 lad had 3 fish.... It's only a small shallow water and with the sun in the shallows they all down there.... Funny thing is, 1 of the lad done 2 nights n lost 2....an old fell turned up in next peg, flick his rod out and had a double in 2 minutes 🤣🤣. Really thinking to try the warm shallows tomorrow morning for a few hours. 2 rods on veeeeery pimped isotonic pineapple wafters with ciruz crumb pva balls.
  6. I really am itching to get out..... I had 3kg of 20mm Mainline Diamond Whites, (from the charity match raffle) I've ground them up to a dust/crumb, trimmed a few down to about 12mm. Gonna make up some pva mesh balls, for some close in fishing under the club lake trees, hopefully bring em in. Fishing running rigs slack lined.
  7. Do like a Ford Transit (very missed indeed)...
  8. Well, the latest Bill is £730, Clutch, Gearbox, Flywheel.....so that's £1030 spent on a car I only paid £1200 for.
  9. Put it this way, I didn't roll over, school have taken this seriously, as I've said ofsted and papers will be told that the school allows bully's to attend here...1 of the rugby lads who is mates with mi lad said "we'll do him in" if nothing is done to him.... He's OK now though, Thanks
  10. Don't mention Cars (vroom vroom).... These past 2 weeks couldn't get any worse.... 1stly....Start of last week, little ens school informed me n wife that our son is a RACIST I hit the roof and went in to find out why, basically they were in Georaphy and there is a Country in Africa spelt Niger (sorry for this in advance and no offenec)....obviously spelt out it says the word, but it is pronounced differently....obviously we got to the bottom of it and he was talking about the spelling does say the word during school and they gave him isolation for it....hit the roof again and all to all it ended up as an educational inquiry.... 2ndly....middle of last week the car decided to have a massive dump of oil in front of the house, £300 bill to fix all oil hoses, oil pan, oil seal, oil plugs, oil filter, labour n fresh oil... 3rdly...this week (monday) my lad (yr8)was on the bus on way home from school when out of no where a yr10 pupil snatched his phone off him, stamped all over, then mi lad went pick it up and the yr10 punched him in the face, my lad hit his head on window, then the yr10 repeatedly hit him over the head with a metal water bottle....School, AnE and police in 1 night....gone down as Criminal Damage n Assault.....put it this way, school will be having an ofsted visit and maybe article in paper if nothing comes of this.... 4thly...last night on way from work, car (again) sounds like a blender in any gear, fine in neutral....RAC towed me to garage, and so far just without looking sounds like clutch, gearbox may have dropped from each other....another £300+ bill I think.... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
  11. Just out of curiosity, how do people find the Avid Ascent Bivvys ?...maybe coming into a 2 Man Version
  12. Mere Lane Fishery springs to mind straight away, Rosemary Wood, Cudmore on some of the lakes you can get the vehicle quite close but not right behind, Baden Hall have huts, that's all can think of this early.....
  13. I use a medium size carryall for all my cooking nessessaty's.... Can probably cook for a full lake how much I take 🤣
  14. I've got some particle left now, but not much, will be out to buy some supply's thus week, Hemp n Sweetcorn, Boilies, some Terminal....
  15. Well.....was my birthday yesterday and it all went down hill from the moment I woke up. Wife got me a few bits for fishing, new Sonik Bobble Hat, n some bits.... THEN, on my way work the DPF light came in car, so I took it to motorway and gave it a good 30min blow out, thought it cleared it, then had an oil leak starting after that. Woke up this morning and it was like an oil bath, ring as many garages as I could find in Wigan, and on about the 20th he's fitted it in today....NOW problems are, Whistling Turbo, Leaking Turbo, Cracked oil pan, Broken Oil Seal, Broken Oil Plug.... £300 + and will get it back Wednesday..... Today I was going to book Cudmore for my birthday also off the Wife, but that has beenet down like a lead balloon....
  16. The AXS poles are really supposed to go straight down, just that people chose to put them.on an angle to the bivvy pegs....if you get the Wrap, you'll see it needs to be used with the poles also, velcro inside it to attach to the wrap.
  17. This is what I did for the hole....maybe same for the stitching ?... It was a strip of repair tape....
  18. I actually think it was some seam team I used on my very 1st bivvy, Chub S plus max....I ironed it on inside the bivvy....
  19. Good price that...Full System too ?...Should be OK with that stitching, probably had it abit tight when up?.. what about some tent/bivvy repair tape, then seal over it ?... Packing away I think is easier....I undo tension strap, pull out the 2 peak poles and clip from top, fan all the poles back together, split each (5) ribs down 1 by 1, fold them over onto themselves, then wrap the tension strap around it all.
  20. I can second that....just having a storm passing through now in Wigan.... Hoping to be on the Park Lake for a few hours in the morning before work.
  21. If in any Doubt give it a Fabsil, but only once on my AXS it dribbled in, but that was due to a scewiff seam on the inside near the Door, Sonik replaced for me no questions. With the Wrap on you get that extra space space and is Pitch Black when on.... Before I got the Camo Wrap this 1... 2 Mates also have an AXS and they love em...
  22. When do overnight/24hr....I always use the wrap and take the front off, gives about 2 foot extra room. On days I take it just in case.
  23. Unless your stuck on those 2, have a look at the Sonik AXS, lots of sales with Overwraps now also...just seen 1 on Gumtree for £150....plenty around for £200/250
