  1. Just Googled it and you can buy a 2m roll of 135gm2 polyester wadding for less than a tenner. That tells you all you need to know imo.

    January catch report

Here's my first fish of the year. Was -4 to start the session. Had a run, lifted into it but nothing on the end( thinking small fish with just bait in its mouth ). Then for the next few hours I could see my line pulling tight n slackening back off but not actually taking. Turns out pva wasn't melting (my mix of condensed milk and manilla being over cooked n like caramel stopping the PVA dissolving)(first time trying condensed milk). About 4pm I seen a fish show to the right of me, nowhere near where I was fishing so I quickly boshed a chod together and within 30mins, boom, fish on. Managed to land a 17.32 mirror saving me a blank. Not massive but always nice to get a winter carp

  6. Sometimes I literally have 4 - 6 buckets with me, some with barely anything in, these make sense

  9. Yeah it's a good idea, I still think there will be the odd occasion for a big bucket of particles. But for a quick session you can still make a decent fresh mix and not need loads of buckets.

  11. depends could have a few of these lol One could be splitting 3 sizes of pellet and something else for catapulting baits out. Could have another splitting particles up in the same way. I could replace 4 buckets on the barrow with one of these and top it up as needed - will be buying 👍

    Bivvy Heating - staying warm

You can't tell from the description. It says "Fully insulated by 120gm2 wadding", but it doesn't say what the wadding is. There are loads of good synthetic technical insulations available, normally trademarked by brand (Primaloft is a common one), and there are various none synthetic downs available (such as goose down). I would guess that Prologic, who don't actually make clothes (rather they have them made in China), are not using highly technical insulations. Imo you want to avoid fishing brands.

Another nice mirror for January 21lbs Could've had a few more if the misses would've swapped swims. They were showing on her swim all day
