    Barbed vs Barbless

Micro barbed for me , on your water and would defo use micro barb as I would be gutted to loose one if it weeded me I think you've got more chance of the fish still being on if you have to go slack when weeded . If Nash was that worried he would stop selling barbed hooks , can't see how you can get more takes if the hooks are sharp then by the time it penetrates to the barb its to late and the fish is hooked .

    Barbed vs Barbless

Barbless should be on all Club Tickets , to cater for all angling abilities. Personally Micro Barbed, but no problem using Barbless and do on situations where the outcome could mean I lose the fish,

    Barbed vs Barbless

As above microbarbed for me. More risk of scale, fin and overall damage to the fish in the net, with barb less. Ps lots of old threads on this one elmo. Although the Pallatrax has some good reviews from a few members

  7. That's lucky I think the average is about 8lb in there and there are more than the carp, I saw them spawning there was one that was massive a big double, that may get mistaken for a small tench if I hooked it šŸ˜

  9. I can never understand why anyone would purposely go out and fish for bream myself and to try and get 100 lb of them. šŸ¤®

  11. Thanks, just thinking of that carp brings back good memories, the 20lb common that thought it was a 50šŸ˜„šŸ˜–šŸ˜† That undercut produced a number of good fish, and it was especially good when the lake was crowded. Strangely enough, with the topic currently ongoing in Tackle and Equipment about rod lengths and casting, it was a cast where you had to drill the cast at a very low angle to get a long way under the bank.

  12. Very little I would have though as fish live in the wet stuff. An intense fire would throw the flames high in the air so it would have minimal impact on Oxygen levels in the lake. If any trees fell into the lake, that could create an instant 'snag' swim and could be worth investigating.
