No carps just the creature from the black lagoon. Was nice though we spent the day chilling and listening to an audiobook with no grown ups to tell us off 😂

She quite liked seeing it , she has caught them in a Disney game on her Nintendo switch so she enjoyed seeing one IRL,

Back on the dock early tomorrow morning for a minimum 24 hrs suntan lotion is packed,  was planned for the weekend which has a rainy forecast again 🙄 the customer I’m working for told me to go fishing mid wk and finish the job on the weekend… he’s a fellow fisherman.

Iv been soaking some air dried baits there about 14 mm now popped one and a chop in a glass of water just to time them been 2 hrs and they’re still firmish  Hopefully the silver fish will have trouble with them and give the Carp a chance to find the baits. …@ Elmo you would have nightmares with the shoals of silvers on the dock 🤪

Feed em off with particles mate or wait til night time to bait up, or just fish the deepest part of the lake where they will bother you less. Even if they can't eat them they will still move them about because they are scum 😂

I am awake at this time of night because the smoke alarm started going off, it was full of water from the bathroom. Oh the joys of being a grown up.

Finally had a low 20 had it on an adjustable zig just under the surface in 11 ft of water… can’t lie was a bit shaky iv had carp double the size on other waters but the 1st 20 on the dock … happy days

Two more 24lb and the other was a low double great scale patterns and in mint condition.  Got all 3 rods on zigs. Apologies for the dreadful pics 😔

Can I catch one tomorrow instead ?  I won’t be catching it tonight for sure. Got all the gear ready and forgot got to be somewhere 🙄… so a very early morning start tomorrow

No fish this time but enjoyed the trip…. Had to sleep in one of them mummy style bags again as forgotten my bag the brother inlaw came to the rescue and brought some pegs for the den forgot them too.

A guy opposite has had a great session which included my target fish that went 40.4oz 😞 he’s fished well had 5 fish all above 25lb he travelled up from Devon nice guy and well deserved result 👍

Almost most of the stock are all handpicked apart from a couple of originals, in early 2018 the water had 4 stockings of Dinton strain Carp, Commons, fully scaled and linears.

Mate I'd fish every spare day for that 40 if I could. What a fish.
