Absolutely none taken, I was kidding fella, just flicking on latest activity & nothing new came up for a day! I've been there twice. On socials with a mate who can't get a ticket on my syndicate. It's a commy water, but has some nice fish, no BS, like a lot of other day tickets I've been to round my way. That whole locking the gate thing should go under silly rules really! There's a traveller camps near by, so I guess it's done for a reason. I stopped & bought a bacon butty in Clapham Common the other day, there's a little lake for fishing, I thought there's no way I'd do the night on there, but looking at the rules, someone must do.

You killed it Dan! slagging off Farlows! Lol

I'm surprised it was busy! It's OK for a social if we can't be arsed to go to linear. Nice to hear you had a nice time lake watching!

Nothing on the dead bait. Note sainsburys £1.80 for about 20 spratts, tackle shop £6 for 4spratts! My mate brought the bulldog lure, £12 produced 2 jacks one not much bigger than the lure itself & one about 5lb. No pics at the minute, as I had to hold the bigger one with the kids. Great fun, nice to be on the bank for a couple of hours -
Vinnetro is one of the pits in Chichester, went there for a few days with the family in the summer, lakes were all closed, they lost a lot of fish through lack of oxygen ii believe in that really hot spell we had. Gutted for them.

Got a couple of hours dead baiting this afternoon. Buzzing to get on the bank. Taking my 7 year old son, he's as excited as me! Hopefully a pic to follow! -
Not sure fella. Ask dave? You misunderstood me, the small lake holds less fish with the odd 30, the main lake including the nooks and crannies holds the bigger fish.

My main syndicate is pressured, so as always the gulls are an issue. After the first catapult or sound of boilies plopping into the water you can have half a dozen going on 20,all eager to have a free lunch. I either wait till dusk or the advantage I've found with a spomb, is to leave it for a short time before retrieving. The gulls won't break the water all the time the spomb stays still, as soon as you wind in they will try diving for your bait. So I wait long enough for it to drop!

Katapult, large, good range with a dozen or so boilies, upto 8-9 wraps. Best catty I've had, although you have to change the elastic every now & then. Anything over that distance, large spomb. Very useful to get out smaller offerings, including maggots. Got a stick, never got on with it

I've got a friend near there, saw some lumps in there a few years ago. Taking bread from the bridge at Brockhurst. I'd of thought there must be some nice waters in the Meon valleys & out towards Alton?

Have you tried the ticket that allows you to fish forts in Gosport?

I haven't, but heard it's got a few gems.. I'm on car park. Only been a few times to far lows, had 4 fish last time, m25 Bank(noisy as hell, but it was dammed) in the far corner, by the out of bounds section, guess where most the fish were??? But they move out. I put out krill and diamond whites. Same as any venue really, try & find them first. You have to walk the venue, put a bucket & then go back to the office. Good luck mate

Sandhurst yately?
-
Try & avoid smelly & m25bank, o & the dreaded dip tank . The bigger fish are in the main lake. Sticky or mainline can't go wrong. Take a towel cos showers are well nice, Pleanty of cash cos Eric's angling shop on site too. P. S. Avoid the geese if they are still there!!!

Me too, 2 Rod rule makes me consider the possibilities a bit more. I do believe too many lines in the water can make the fish wary or turn them off. Quite comfortable & happy with 2. If I was fishing a big pit or reservoir I may go to 3. I've never had 2 go at the same time, although I've got 2nets, it'd be impossible to deal with 3 or 4??

Club waters can be good value for money. I went as a guest to a local water, a bailiff did come by each day. Some of the waters round here get poached by the 'anians. So most established waters are being vigilant. I fish a syndicate and an estate lake. The Syndicate I'd expect to see at least one bailiff, normally 2 every day. There is 4 lakes on the complex. 1 private hire so they tend to check all is OK there & clean toilets etc. Tackle & safety equipment is checked for the first few weeks of the new season. Been there a few years now, so pretty much left to get on with it. The estate lake, no bailiff to speak of. Rules are standard EA on the membership form. Only seen the odd Angler, over 5 lakes separated by river & wider systems. I could run around naked and not see a soul. It's a little bit of paradise! So. I could say no bailiff at all works for me!

18?? Surely questionable as to their relationship to the owners & their knowledge, but you'd have to show them the respect their title deserves, I guess. just laugh at them out of earshot if they are a pair of muppets. A good bailiff should set out any basic rules from the off, then pretty much leave you to it. You'd expect them to pass by daily. Maintaining the venue is important imo.

I know a few lads that go here every year https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=pavyotts+mill&oq=pavot&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0l3.5278j0j4&client=ms-android-tmobile-gb&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8 If you don't mind travelling

As above 2-3 times a year, you never know what the line goes through underwater, I'd hate to loose the fish of a lifetime for the sake of £15

Would that no boats rule cover placing baits by boat, whereas you could go out to unsnag a fish in a boat? My complex, you can go out to retrieve fish or lost tackle, but it must be 2 in the boat with life jackets & someone one on the bank. In a perfect world I can understand, but in reality how are you going to get 2 other anglers to wind in & assist?? A lot of the time there's not even that many people there. If I had to, I'd just wade out to the fish. Max depth is 8ft
