  1. short vid of the above mirror.
  2. Often thought the same but have you ever seen a Bait boat and sonar dude leaving the lake after a good blank, not a happy look at all🦷
  3. The cork dust and base mix pop up with a wrap of cooked hook bait paste added rig foam good stuff stays dry it's like a thick neoprene plug.
  4. Just use as is it will sort itself out once you use it a few times
  5. Happens with the dl baitrunners one of mine did it only slight and not really a problem but very annoying, they will be the DL or ST baitrunnrts you have, could be down to slack assembly in the factory. Friday reels lol.
  6. finale rolling video, rolling the cork mix to some pretty cool music, did run a competition but you tube and their copyright rules gave the answer away.
  7. i will try at some point doubt it will be this week though, been the odd dodgy looking rig found so best not just yet fishery owners can be a bit twitchy as it at this time of year.
  8. just done some rig tests the wafters are the best i have ever seen they really are standing on the hair without lifting anything else, the pop ups can very nearly lift a ronnie so a bit of rig foam will see it right i was expecting it i made the pop ups and wrapped a bit of paste around them. should be out tomorrow but it means a real early start, ain't got to a lake this early since pine pool.
  9. Full amount from the 400 gram hook Bait mix JB's milk and honey, got pop ups wafter, and two different bottom baits, one lot has a heavy dose of the milk n cream liquid. Did some Cork balls to for wraps quite pleased with them got a fair bit of attraction themselves.
  10. the reason why engineers don't make good doctors is exemplified below. drove to the shop yesterday on the way i get a knocking in what i thought was the driver side wheel gear so i gets home because it was bad and come on all of a sudden, whipped the driver side wheel off, inspected all the ball joints and bushings i was expecting to find problem with the wheel bearings if not the rubber bits, but nothing i'm really annoyed by this point, so i go to take the other side wheel off and right in front of my face was a massive bolt head screw in the tyre lol the head was that big it was causing a knocking coming up through the steering , a doctor would of spotted that straight off the bat, damn bolt was huge, my tyre as good as ate it.
  11. dna and another company do a insect meal bait don't think dna have put the dry base mix on sale yet, the other company i cant recall the name but they have been doing a bug bait before dna, one of the guys on the lake was using it last year as a tester with the liquids and that, done really well with it, i know a few guys are using it this year, you really do have to put a few kilo in the lake to get the results. it's not the next mainline cell if you ever seen the dna lads baiting up you would see what i mean. their bait has won a lot of the qualifiers in the bcac matches.
  12. I'm out Monday Just finished the pop ups took the wrap of paste nice, also done some hard hook baits with the same paste, just waiting for them to dry. The ones on the plate are the pop ups.
  13. So the uncooked pop up seems to be performing nicely this pick shows the paste dissolving slowly and. I will cook them before use this was a test to see if the inner core would remain bouyent wrapped in wet paste well test a cooked one on the rig, the reason for the cork dust mix is so I can use a baiting needle.
  14. Up all night I'd call that a pop up, never seen pop ups Don this way before, call it the viagra method
  15. We have popup this hasn't been cooked yet and looking bouyent alrady
  16. just doing hook baits, for pop ups it would of been better to use cork balls, the dust is a real struggle to get the volume right, what i did was make my own cork ball by mixing the dust and base mix to make a very buoyant pop up that will take a coat of hook bait paste to finish the pop up,
  17. Bait left in glass of cold water for 36 hours is The water is near clouded up from all the solubles leaking out when squashing the Bait the main scent coming off is a clean meaty yeast smell.
  18. me and fuolro have a love relationship especially tiger line if you only have small reels to fill the tiger line is nearly as good as a nylon line for casting and behaves really well it's just not suited to coloured water or water with floating sediment. heavy weed clear water short range casting suits fluorocarbon best.
  19. sounds about right rolling the sausage straight away worked best. the fourteen mm sausage table is not really practical for any more than a single bag mix a gun would be a lot faster,. last of the paste rolled today getting better round shapes, should be golden for the hook baits. end results and amounts
  20. so far so good pleased with the results i have cooked half the mix the rest i will do tomorrow, as the finished bait is drying the scent is changing becoming more complex strangely there is a hint of fizz to the smell when you get close to a pile the sent really does ping out from the bait it's like a gentle fizz? will do the other half of this mix should be ok as i'm making sausages by hand might make it easier to use the rolling table. a good caulking gun is a must something i will look into.
  21. First batch cooked bit odd bod shaped but that's OK I know they are mixed well and cooked to the minimum.
  22. so just mixed up the kilo of base mix got 1.3 kilo of paste will be rolling soon it is resting in the fridge fairly easy to mix did use my hook tool on the second mix, just need a welder now as explained in the video. it's a long one filmed as is.
  23. last of my minimalist kit has arrived the rolling table is better quality plastic than i thought, thought it would be brittle. the cork dust is really fine so should roll ok and that cream from jb is divine i know it's a mix of milks and creams but it really is nice just need to nip and get a chip basket and i will do the kilo mix in two batches today and hook baits tomorrow. do a video to see just how it is for a novice to roll their own baits, probably be talking to myself.
