Well , had 4 days planned at churn pool with 3 other mates arrived Monday feeling fine , but by Monday night was feeling like death warmed up sickness/ shivering/ aching all over.  So had to reel the rods in & they didn't go back out. back home now in bed wondering what a good session it could of been as I did manage to catch before the sickness kicked in . Managed to brake my run of blanks which I'm happy about , but I know it could of been a blinder ,just my luck at the moment it seems 🙈

Well done for catching hope you feel better soon, my run of blanks is really notching itself up, I haven't caught a fish since I went to France last year I don't think. Still I'm building up to the next one lol.

First carp of the year was a bream! Yuck. Slimy brute. No picture of that!
Second was a carp. Maybe just a double but great fun on light feeder gear (4lb hooklink)
 

Few hours this morning with the boy so he could try catch one before heading back to his mums and school 12lb 8oz, made him happy 

I suppose I might as well admit to catching from the syndicate lake.
I'm not normally worried about ounces, but this time I kept a close eye as we have been going with a regular stocking policy, and was stocked in December 2021 at 16lb. Its now 23.12
Multi-rig with a 3oz running lead again.
The buzzer woke me up, but my first thoughts were not polite as I saw a pair of tufties scooting away, followed by 'that's not a tufty'.

 

Wow I love all of them. There’s a few different body shapes going on there. Genetics I suppose ? Strains ? Love the slopey head on the last 1. Wish I knew more about this kind of thing

this is my sons pb mirror that went 29lb - we were doing a night in a double swim, fishing identical baits, rigs, etc to a reedbed off an island. My son had 8 that night, topped by this otherwise unknown mirror. 
 
I blanked! 
he’s just done a new pb common of 26lb 5oz this week. 

This was a memorable capture. All the other anglers on the lake thinking they gotta cast 120 yards to the middle and then there’s me sneaking round the edges of a 17 acre lake seeing fish plotted up away from the pressure. On this day I see the biggest carp I ever seen before in my life. I’m sure it was him! The biggest carp in the uk Marshall over 75lb. I’m sure I almost had him. See a few fish dropping down on my tiger nuts, He’s got a massive body and a small head and I’m sure he was there hanging around. Anyway I managed to hook one of his mates and everyone else was blanking, this one was small at 42lb 10 oz

My son and I had a few hours out today in the spring sunshine. I had a 6lb common, my boy had: 26lb 5oz new pb common 13lb common
