  1. Took my boy to a crazy mountain bike down hill park yesterday called wind Hill .... of course me being me gets far to carried away & can't resist going mack10 down these tracks, it was always going to end in a big crash 🙈 Bruised & cut , stitches to my face & currently in bed feeling my age 😆 good crack though .👍 Think I'll stick to fishing 😂
  2. Sound mate.... speak closer to the time 👍
  3. No wonder you blanked then mate.... this points out the exact reason I don't use any gadgets in my fishing. If I would of had that info & not been able to fish zigs .... would of done my head right in 🙈
  4. Looks like zigs would of produced bites .... 3 zigs on that patrol height 🎣😁 Cheating mind 😇🤣🙈
  5. I remember when Kev purchased his avid brolly & was impressed with the material , the same is used on the HQ .
  6. Welcome to come & say hello fella ...may 23rd - 27th 👍 p.s bring kebabs 😁
  7. A mates booked the exclusive lake at the woolpack fishery , not somewhere I know but the fish look nice . Just had a look for new armo's stock might be an issue! Anyone use the avid 2man HQ ?
  8. Well my armo mk2 has finally seen better days.... lasted over ten years & been used for family camping etc & some pretty messy c.com socials 🙈 In the market for a new 2 man , thinking of just going for another armo as my winter wrap is still in good condition. Anyone got any other opinions? Got some fishing coming up soon over Cambridge way 😎🎣, so need it for that .
  9. I toyed with joining the waterpark clubs a few times , But busy lakes & otters have put me off tbh . I fish churn pool most years which is always enjoyable & can recommend booking on there with a couple mates .
  10. I looked at rolling my own a good few years back.... was some good threads on here about it . I decided it wasn't cost effective & stuck with buying in bulk & freezing.
  11. All good thanks Tim .... hope you & family are too , not been fishing much the last few years , but hoping to get out more this year . 👍
  12. I see the carp society has purchased Ashmead, always been somewhere I've wanted to wet a line . Been thinking of fishing Horseshoe again this year so interesting that they have purchased Ashmead.
  13. Always , this time of year they start concentrating more on still waters . Sorry to hear you have them about . I know all to well the damage they do . This winter could see all the decent fish gone depending on numbers & lake size . Not good mate !!!

So sorry to hear this mate.... horrible thing to have to do , like I said, there was no holding back the tears . As a family we took on a rescue dog while jess was still about. They got on really well the time they had together & its definitely helped still having a dog about the place . Your right though heartbreaking.
  15. Agree with that.... definitely depends on the certain pattern. If you look at the quoted picture top of this thread. The hook point & eye are in a straight line to each other.... if you stick a line aligner on that it sets the point back to far for the rig mechanics to work effectively.
  16. Had the very same conversations on here in the past blue , I'm of the same thinking. & wouldn't use a line aligner on curve shank hooks . A good chance of missing out on the better fish as a result imo .
