  1. i have a TFG force 8 bivvy in my shed that i used for years, they pop up and down in a matter of seconds, built in ground sheet too. if you need to stay mobile you can pull 4 pegs and hit the catch and be moving in less than two mins. https://www.totalfishinggear.co.uk/buy.cfm/tfg-bivvies-and-brollies/tf-gear-force-8-bivvy/39/no/32802
  2. soft rubber grips 🤢 pushing them into hard ground and the steel peg is driven into your palm,,, it hurts
  3. if a company is prepared to invest their profits and protect it then nige would be correct in his assumption BUT, if not then its an open market for me.
  4. thing is, if companies dont cover themselves with a patent they only have themselves to blame when cheaper 'rip offs come on the market.
  5. personally i have absolutely zero sympathy for any big brand company who's gear is 'ripped off' by others, others who are ready and willing to bring the top end gear to market without 'ripping off' the very people who pay their wages. this tendency to add carp tax on everything carpy can only be blamed on the tackle tarts who insist on having 'named gear' imo and before anyone bangs on about quality of build etc, etc, just remember that for the most part these items will often follow each other off the production line with the only variation being the logo stitched or stamped onto them. nope!! the sole reason for the high prices is because there are people who will gladly pay it because they think it gives them kudos while they sit and blank.
  6. hey Nik, is yer second name Phillips?
  7. mine arrived at about 7.30, opened it to find this
  8. now i am confused, after visiting their facebook page and going for a long walk and a chat with the lads on there, i was informed that the stock ran into the hundreds and included various 20s, 30s and at least one regular 40lber so my £100 dep went in. are you seriously saying that numbers have been massaged and a little false advertising is going on? btw, not saying that your wrong but looking for confirmation about stock before withdrawing from the list. unfortunately i would too

  15. welcome to the forum CA, a word to the wise tho bud,,,, dont EVER post your phone number on an open forum. private details like that are easily accessible thru Google meaning anyone who has an internet connection anywhere in the world, stalkers, blackmailers, even double glazing salesmen will now have free access to your phone. any personal info is safer in a private message, i will contact admin and ask them to edit it for you ok
  16. hi Jason, welcome to the forum that is a very good question, and one that will probably generate a whole host of answers. line strength would be between 10lb and 15lb BS 'BUT' then you have the braid fan, the mono lover, the flouro aficionado etc, etc. you also have anglers that will only use Solar, Korda, Esp, Diawa etc. personally i use Esp Olive in 15lb @0.35mm, hook link material depends on the day. i love the stuff but that is just me. good luck in your search
  17. haha!! bet its the one at towcester i was told that church and lady barbera's were devoid of fish as the foreign otters had been in and gutted the place? will have to give them a ring and see if there are any places
