Sunny cambridgeshire is that where you thought?
-
Sounds promising, it's always good to talk about things, you can't sacrifice everything that makes you happy in life mate not a good thing to do. Hopefully you find a decent solution soon.
-
I've been there I've had some right old dogs, but you just have to keep trying, buy them off old people that's usually a good sign, don't buy them from cities and the seaside, look for a low mileage one that's been looked after well, japanese cars are usually not too bad, volvos and things that aren't fashionable too usually work OK.

That sounds drastic mate, don't sell up, maybe just try and do some overtime and save up for a new carp mobile

I think that i may do I would like to think I am leaving in good terms just feel like I am going through the motions and it's getting boring tbh, I've got some decent day tickets locally that I could pop on for a night, and a bit further a field there is Stanwick, trent view, bluebells, orchid, linear the cotswolds etc and tonnes of others, always fancied a trip to yately, there is plenty to keep me going even the odd noddy lake for a fun day. and you know maybe some of you guys could do a guestie for me ππ But I enjoyed the planning of the French trip and if I could do a week in France each year I would be well happy, and each little uk trip would be a bit like that too, I found a banging lake in France I want to try looks cracking, weed to the surface with sandy clear spots, you can hire a boat and stuff looks pukka, mint carp and a week is about Β£450 with crossing included (not rediculous) And if i get fed up with the busyness there is an ultra hard big pit not too far from me lol, I'm on a couple of waiting lists still so I may not have to wait too long Time for a different challenge, I've told the family I am doing a final 2 nighter next weekend and that's it last chance for a 30 from there.

I've maybe come to a decision to give up on the syndicate, with nothing concrete in place to replace it π³ I quite like the idea of going to a few premier day tickets and having a week in France. Is that bonkers?

Today i have been mostly messing with a QC Choddy, tungsten dropper goes over the qc swivel on the leader once attached, so now I've prepped for nearly every eventuality.π³ I've also thought of a great way to use Pva nuggets threaded onto a Pva stringer for a parachute effect which should give you a nice soft landing and float to the surface once the stinger melts without risking a blob of Pva left on your hook point and couple of freebies around your hook bait, I give myself an A for effort today π
-
That looks good, I do sometimes cut the bigger ring off the swivel too, just makes it sit a bit lower and it's a little less clunky.

Been having a play with the old spinner rigs this week, I think I may have got it how I wanted it, whilst watching someone else catching whilst I should have been I did some subtle sheeping lol and checked out his rig I noted he was using fluoro hooklengths this sent me on a quest and after having a play I am now using 20lb avid outline leader for the boom section, seems soft enough to settle ok over stuff, but should be stiff enough to reset, and makes a nice straight boom when stretched a little. This also happened to coincide with the arrival of my avid D rig kickers, now as soon as I saw these I knew i had to have them I've always wanted that extra bit of seperation from the hook had a play with various others but they never made them to fit over spinner swivels without butchering them these do, size 4 wide gape seems to finish it off nicely tbh.

I didn't go to work, I am meant to be on lates this week so I tested before I went, my eldest daughter also has it
-
Getting worse as the day goes on but long walk with the dog and felt snotty got back felt a bit achey and now a bit grotty and meh tbh, off work now though not sure if we still have a covid policy in place atm could be off all week if that's the case
-
No I will give it to the kids so they can smash it up.
-
Nope I think I may have got a free covid from there too I've just tested positive π³
-
I guess they obviously have their reasons for it, might just be easier not too, maybe they lose money on them or something, dunno they've always been good on ebay though I've bought a few bits off them. I went to smiths toy superstore /ad yesterday and treated myself to a rainbow high doll and a ridgemonkey xl toaster (granite edition)
-
Oh you pair now I am going to have to save it and do something with it aren't I lol, might see if I can get a dog bed or pillow case made out of it my mum is pretty handy like that π
-
I don't know a shop that doesn't sell. Maggots round my way, I could go to any of my local shops and they would sell them, the little commercial lake near me sells them too, Angling Direct do sell them in store also. Probably not worth the aggro selling mail order.

I've killed it now, I don't think i have the patients lol, I'm using the opportunity to clear out the garage and sell off some bits and bobs and do a tip run, I've taken all the good bits off it like the magnetic storm poles and taken the bag for my bivvy as its better etc, and I have a virtually unused front for it which they don't come with now so I shall try and flog that. I took my old broken bedchair out the bedchair bag and I now have a barrow bag by the end of today I am hoping to be more organised and have some toot on ebay and have done a tip run π Tip run so farβ€΅οΈ I've now got spare bedchair legs for my chair and feet to spruce up my old jrc cocoon that the kids sometimes use, it feels like a result somehow

Thanks nick I had a look on you tube at what was required and thought that looks fiddlyπ I weighed up the pros and cons, it's an old brolly that cost me Β£40 second hand, I've done a fair few nights in it, I think I've had my moneys worth. I am having a tidy up/clear out now I have fixed my cyprinus bunker that will do for now, it isn't a brolly though, and it isn't that quick to put up speed was king with a brolly π
-
Scrap that I've just managed to kill it 8 think, it just sort of collapsed and it appears that the metal holding the spines has snapped and given way? Anyone know if this is repairable? I do like the look of the new esp lo pro π³
-
-
Before you fabsil do you wash your brolly? What with please? It's time my old trusty cyprinus got some special treatment π³
-
Yes they are pants. Get an x spod, opens every time
-
Good aren't they. Get the bigger one
-
Another blank, one rod came in clumped in weed, the banker (lol) came in without a hookbait attached(yes it did have one on before) , and my 3rd rod was OK, I did get to take a photo for the bloke next door though,he seems to have it sussed and doing good angling tbh, I am beginning to take this poor run of form a little personally, I'm giving my head a wobble now.

Twas the Rudd that done it, it's my phone holder for when I use the blooming deeper I'm not sending that thing out blooming nearly sank last time i went out in it π³
