  1. What did you win?
  2. Had to take the kids to smyths toy superstore today, just so happens there was an angling direct round the corner, I bought some korda basix scissors, Sticky bloodworm pellets, cc Moore mini ultramix pellets, some advanta tiger nuts, fox tadpoles and some ridgemonkey anti tangle sleeves. Earlier today I bought some avid D rig spinner kickers because I saw them on fb they look mint, I didn't just buy loads of stuff I didn't really need lol And I've got my DIY deeper WiFi booster up and running now, just need to finish the case test it works properly and I'll do a thread on it,
  3. They laugh at me it would appear, I had another blank today, but I did have a funny incident πŸ˜‚ It all started at 3am when I thought I had a bite bobbin went right up to the alarm and didn't drop, lifted Into nothing, as it was foggy and dark I thought I would send out the QE2 with some bait and my rig, put in quite a few freebies, then didn't get a drop, I sat there for a bit in the cold (with hot water bottle) but it bugged me so I rewrapped the marker rod and I had sent it out a rod length top short, reeled it in fine no debris on it, redid it with the correct distance, and got a drop when I released the bait dump, left it quite happy, when I bought it in at home time it was stuck on an almighty snag, 8 had my phone in my hoody pocket which fell into the edge, stuck my rod down to rescue it only to see my rod getting pulled Into the water under the tension of the line πŸ˜‚ Managed to catch it with my other rod but couldn't get it back as I had too much tension on it, had to go in a bit and recatch it luckily after filling my wellies I grabbed the handle and got it back in, then all I had to do was try and free it, luckily I had used a 20lb outline leader and it must have cut because I got all my line back bar the rig which I am guessing it stuck in a snag still. And my phone is in a bed of rice(I recently broke my new phone after 6 days and one small drop) Happy days Carp God's suck
  4. You are right I do, πŸ• Smashed it with dinner tonight. Potato wedges with leftover chilli, grated cheese, jalapeΓ±os and sour cream, was mighty tasty
  5. Not a bad Idea though, people love pizza
  6. It seems to have got worse since i bought some korda stuff rather than the Gardner leader i was using, I will have a look at the knot though πŸ‘
  7. I have ordered 3 esp ones and both the korda ones I could find see how long those ones last me πŸ˜‚
  8. Thanks I did use an easy splice one for a while but I bent it all out of shape and couldn't get it back lol
  9. Thanks not sure I've tried the esp or korda ones so I may give them a go πŸ‘
  10. I seem to be going through more splicing needles than I catch fish at the moment. I've recently broken 4 or 5 trying to make some leaders and as the pic shows I've tried a few πŸ˜‚ 3 thinking anglers ones ( not good ) Avid retracta (broke easily) Fox blue( lasted a while) Other one was just another broken needle I had lying about but it makes more of a case as I have got through an awful lot lately. I don't think i am particularly ham fisted and have made leaders before. Can anyone recommend a bulletproof fine latch needle that's good for splicing and won't just break please ?

    Dogs and fishing

I'm thinking about taking Betty with me this week for a day trip, she is mental but loves being with me so I am hoping that is all it takes πŸ˜‚, she will have to stay tied up a bit though because she has a strong prey drive and doesn't always come back lol she is like my shadow unless she gets a taste of freedom
  12. Yes that is what I was thinking too something along those lines
  13. Just having a play with some rigs tonight as I was bored and I wanted to try a slip D rig for wafters and that, was looking at the kickers I had in stock and thought I would try a noodle kicker, quite happy with the result tbh seems to work quite nicely on the palm test and the kicker will make it harder for the fish to deal with I think. J precision advanced wide gape size 4 N trap soft braid Tungsten Noodle kicker from terminal tackle uk
  14. Just bought some new leads from MP Lead shed. Went for some lighter coloured ones like sand, clay and gravel colour because I was horrified how the silty ones I've been using stood out like a sore thumb when I saw them in the margin 😳
  15. Yes I think that can happen I will arrange it so it can be done that way and we can hopefully add a code word to let them know it's us
  16. Just going to be a DIY thread don't want to make loads πŸ˜‚ It is quite simple though, I got the idea off fb
  17. Oh [censored] mine ran out on the 28th march if only I had done it sooner
  18. If you want one they are struggling to find the poles of the same quality I saw it on fb so if you want one may be worth getting one as they may have to stop making them soon
  19. Not sure i guess you need to see what the connections are on the bivvy
  20. And I have just swiped right on amazon for a WiFi extender, I will do a seperate thread as I intend to build my own portable range extender set up for a fraction of the cost of the deeper one πŸ˜‰
  21. I went to allthings3d and I bought 😳 A deeper mount for my actor plus A navigation light for my actor plus And 8 cord zip puller attachments for easy zipping and unzipping of stuff, (non essential but I think in a small way a bit gamechanging πŸ˜‚)
  22. Ridgemonkey small choppa 14mm to 16mm boilies (i have the medium somewhere in the garage) good little tool for halving baits
  23. I went to France Tuesday and came back last night though the euro tunnel no major issues either way, I would say the biggest hold up is uk customs though. With the ferries though it's probably down to the fact p and o sacked all their staff during the pandemic now surprisingly they can't cope.
