  1. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F362615579290 This one has adjustable legs if that still isn't high enough maybe get some longer legs made up for it, there are others btw but I quite like sonik stuff
  2. Hi luv4carp Welcome to the forum To me a table sounds a bit dodgy as if it's not perfecty level you may get sliding issues, and it's a big drop for the carp if it falls Have you looked at some of the bigger cradles (with frames) they may be better for you , if not would be worth asking a company to have one made to suit you maybe an extra tall one, with a taller frame or maybe have some 3/8th threads put on the frame so you could use adjustable banksticks to increase the height that way Hope this helps and all the best Elmo
  3. Gave it a good work out tonight handled marker work ,weed clearance ,and spombing and did it all quite nicely too, I guess the main limitation will be needing to cast further with 35lb, but I got it as far I will need so all in all quite happy so far
  4. Reckon i could pull a car out the lake with this 35lb braid
  5. I decided on 35lb for my 3 in 1 multifunction spod/marker/weed rake rod, should be tough enough for all disciplines 😀 4th function accidental tree surgery 🙄
  6. I haven't got any mates really so I have free licence to do what I want
  7. It's probably the least stealthy colour you can find, I think it must be a sickness but I really wanted yellow braid 🙄
  8. I think I've found some spider braid, from memory this was recommended to me years ago and I think the braid I've had on my marker reel since might try this funky yellow one
  9. Did you ever use this Finchey? I've been wondering the same and I need to change my braid as it's old
  10. I wonder if anyone's opinions will have changed on this lake since 2010, Welcome to the forum Wacko
  11. Something from bivvy tramps that stuck with me If you know it's being prebaited it's poaching , if you don't know it's good angling Your so called mate has poached your good angling and hard work, does he know what bait you use ? They are the risks of prebaiting though but knowing you have been is a low blow in my opinion, hope you go and catch more than him
  12. Can you not lift the back wheels off the ground in that situation and go for it ? I never really had an issue with one wheel though as long as it was loaded ok it would behave fairly well
  13. Tramadol isn't a very nice drug to take long term tbh, I know someone who is a lot younger than me who got addicted to it after a back issue ended up buying it off the web after his doctor refused to prescribe it and gave himself stomach ulcers,
  14. Well hopefully your luck will change and you get amongst some nice fish, that will help make it right good luck
  15. I used to have a MK2 carp porter in the good old days, couldn't fault it really never gave me any problems and I thought it handled well and never tipped for me I think the extra wheels would make it more stable , still really wishing I hadn't sold it tbh would be nice to still have it
  16. I'm not surprised really feel for you, it's not like just popping down the road, I hope you will be getting compensated and I hope it works out ok for you this week
  17. No way that's awful have you got a back up plan sorted,
  18. Cracking stuff it's certainly seems to have been a good week for you on balance, glad you have had some good fortune on your side as well and your hard work has paid off , will certainly be a week you remember excellent results 👍
  19. Thanks for the review on those might have to start with a spomb and see how i get on with it, I like using pellets so dot spod might not be the one for me, I do quite like the way the air bomb looks to work but its probably not as simple to use as the spomb, I am only using the one spod/marker rod so clipping up spomb to the same as the marker should be perfectly fine for getting bait out on the spot Cheers
  20. I use 30lb straight through with no bother i dont tend to cast that far though, the loop knot will be progression though will be handy for a quick change between spod and marker, I quite like the look of the TFG air bomb or the dot spod by Nash the dot spod looks to retrieve better than the spomb haven't tried them yet I still have a Gardner pocket rocket spod 😬
  21. its not a rowing boat is it ? you would go round in circles with your knackered arm sorry to hear about your back though that's no fun while you are away, hope it gets better soon so you can land another whacker, I get a similar thing quite often, sometimes it goes quite quickly, If you know any good yoga type stretches they can really help, otherwise more beer can do wonders for the pain especially with the tramalols 😵
  22. This could get bait out far enough possibly
  23. I've found a local feed place that does it for £15.50 I've asked for a complete price list to see what other goodies they may have
  24. I was looking at vitalin the other day I always thought it made a good cheap groundbait mix that worked, seems a little more pricey nowadays thiugh I think the method is one I wouldn't mind trying again I used to get on well with it and it seems like something that's probably overlooked these days,
  25. I think it would depend on if you are comfortable getting 2 rods on the spot, personally I have started thinking I may use this approach having one big baited banquet spot with 2 rods on, but I guess it depends on how easy it is to achieve and whether you will be confident landing them, and whether you can get your rig presented well ? That's probably only a call you can make though but I will be interested in hearing what you decide ?
