  1. Fishing is all about opinions and using what you are confident using, its the only way to go really, I don't really get too jealous of other anglers tbh, I have no desire to be on the front of carp world every month or be the best angler, I just want to be better than myself, which is why I enjoy coming on here so I can learn more, I don't understand Lenard for this reason he seems a knowledgeable angler but he seems to want to be seen as the best and brightest but without giving anything away. It's almost like he wants to be taken seriously but people never have, and now he is angry about it, either that or he has an axe to grind with a growing number of people on here and can't see past that,
  2. Hi Barboss. Not sure myself tbh, might be worth emailing fox direct they will probably be able to help you, if you ask nicely they may even do a good deal on a replacement you never know always worth an ask 👍
  3. I need prescription ones ideally I think, I've got the fortis over goggles ones but compared to my old Maui Jim's prescription ones that I've had for years they aren't very good, sadly that isn't my prescription anymore, but I do think it would be a good investment to spend more on some proper ones,
  4. I don't use korda leads or lead clips as I don't really use lead clips tbh, so can't really comment My go to these days is a fox inline and a tadpole insert these are great tbh they have a enough grip for a bolt effect but easily free themselves incase of trouble, I also didn't see that suggested to do that with the bead, but surely people who saw it would have complained to them if it was a bad idea, seems pretty obvious that it could be dangerous to me
  5. Thanks I am sure his team would have looked I to any issues you may have had, if you had reported it to them directly,
  6. Sorry mate we love Danny on here, he does a lot of good work for fishing,
  7. Isn't fishing about 1% extras and confidence though,I would find it hard to be confident in a hook that I don't think will prick the hooks mouth as much? Which Is why I always use a straight point shark hook 🦈
  8. I do love an elvis juice 😍 I had already had this one before, had been a tough day 😁 It's a geekvape aegis 2 I got it cos it is meant to be bulletproof so far it is still elmoproof 🙄
  9. Could probably make a good variation on the Ronnie/spinner rig maybe ?
  10. Any clues as to whom it was ? 😁
  11. That could have been a film,a story like that, there is already a soundtrack for it 👍
  12. Beer and rig science this afternoon anything to block out the noise 😬 Different supple hooklinks same wafters, proper job dumbell with AAA shot not holding bottom(these are not even the super buoyant specials) and a retro cork wafter, I think the old sticky wafters aren't up to much weight it seems a 25lb supple braid doesn't get it up everytime , I am starting to think a 15lb or 20lb braid may be better for presentation, but I need a reliable wafter and the retro ones seem to sit right everytime the sticky ones don't always do what you expect, has anyone got any good wafter recommendations? But one thing the KD rig seems to present well though I've thrown them in and the way the hair sits seems to keep it from tangling, which is good enough for me at the moment, 👍
  13. Excellent stuff Emmcee, great captures and stunning fish Don't ever go to a day ticket lake nowadays, that may send you over the edge these types are 10 a penny 😁
  14. That's why I always find stuff to mess about with whilst fishing because if I am sitting and WAITING, that alarm is Not going to scream into life. it's only going off whilst i am making dinner or asleep or emptying my bladder, or looking at the swim as far as you dare go from your rods, the carp always wait till you are compromised 🤔
  15. I can well believe that the front end looks like it has a huge desire for food, the back end just doesn't want to keep up 😁
  16. I do love an oddun that one looked like it could've gone huge if it wasn't for the deformaties it was still big, another great weekend and some more stunners to make me miss fishing even more 😁 Great stuff, it will be more special that next capture after lockdown, but wait we must 👍
  17. Excellent stuff emmcee some great fish and great stories too
  18. I don't like a beak point I can't see anyway they would be more effective tbh, just think the bend in the point makes it harder to prick it into the fishes mouth, but that's only my opinion
  19. Tbh I meant the d rig kicker with a trig Hammer makes a good pop up rig, naturally I haven't tried that one with a curve shank Paul as I havent got any curve shanks in stock
  20. It makes a well presented pop up rig though
  21. That'll do nicely cheers Yonny, wish I tried that earlier, perfect for bag fishing and nice and simple Got 50 size 4 curves on order should be enough to start with 😂
  22. Does look perfect tbh nice and simple thanks 👍
  23. Yep for Solid bags, I haven't really looked at the KD rig will have a play and see what comes out Cheers
  24. Now poses the question, I want to use a smaller non trig Hammer hook for my pva wafter set up, will a curve type be the one Part of me thinks keep it simple as these rigs won't be in the water long and also need to be cost effective (bank tackle curves??? Sharpened, ) Knotless knot with silicone and a tungsten kicker Or curve with a d rig kicker with micro swivel Both seem to work OK I think in my recent tests but I think the d rig will be slightly harder for the carp to eject? Anyone else have any thoughts on this set up?
