A cyprinus K2 would be a more solid bet 20000hh, my bunker is 20000hh and nothing gets past that, well made and robust bivvy, a K2 would be a much better option imo

I got my hydrolink extreme yesterday so I have tried the same rig with that, quite pleased not as stiff as the mouth trap but a lot more subtle

Just keep learning will seem like 2nd nature one day, and think how rewarding a bite will be when you get one, just enjoy the ride

Looking at that really does make a big water look appealing, I might do a session on the big part of my lake next time as I've got size envy 😁

This may help you a bit, Alfie Russell has done lots of bits round the London park lakes so there may be more to watch, but they do look like some stunning carp, travel light and walk round getting to know the place maybe dropping some bait in some likely areas and keep walking,

I generally get a night, I would be 24 in the car park and home, it's not that far from me really maybe one day I will venture up there it does look nice , but I think I would steer clear at the moment sounds like a nightmare

I watched Paul heseltines vid on there this week he said he had to do 2 nights just to get a swim he wanted to fish , sounds terrible 😢

I've been having a good play with this one recently, and I've really started to see the benefit of using the mouth trap doubled over like the multi rig, its solid as a rock, I don't think it would budge if blown out, i pulled one at both ends last night with hook pullers and the hook snapped before the chod link naturally I will put a boom on it but I think this one will be tough to eject, can't wait to try it now 🤔

It makes sense to me as personally I think I probably catch more bigger bream and tench these days than I ever did when I used to try and catch them by design, 😁

So if whilst scaled down for bream, you happened to catch a lake record carp would you not claim it? I mean this as a general question BTW, as it seems lots of anglers don't think a big bream should count if you happen to be fishing for carp, so surely a big carp wouldn't count if you happened to be fishing for bream, 🤔

Ive never had my rod licence checked tbh, and never had a rig or bait checked in all my time fishing, I get them banning certain things like bait and only wanting people to use certain types of pellet etc, there lake if it helps keep it open and make it pay so be it, Also think more lakes should ban bait boats, them people always break other rules 😜😜😁

I think the point he made in 2015 was more about the fact he knows bread isn't that good for them, but that it keeps catching fish, and that they don't necessarily stop eating things that aren't good for them,

What water have you been fishing maybe someone will know about it? There is no right or wrong to how much you should or shouldn't feed, we will all tell you different answers tbh, depends how long you are fishing for and what the stock is like and whether they will be in the mood to eat

Just keep going and keep watching the water, if you want to become a better angler get watching reading and learning, YouTube has so many decent videos to watch, you can learn things all the time which will help, look at the Carl and Alex tutorials they will help you get better

That does look like a beast, I'm struggling to allow myself to spend 70 though at the minute 😳 If you blank just pretend you had it with you then you can use it next time, I gave up worrying about the curse of the new thing a while ago, I pretty much would never catch anything 😁

I've now pretty much stopped using my brolly in favour of the bunker it doesn't take any longer to put up or take down it's lighter and it just feels a bit more like home, 😁 Can have the front off, on or pegged open has a back window if it's a bit windy inside 😉, got a 7 quid mozzie front, over wrap and it's rock solid love it

Hi guys Been looking at a new cradle mat or unhooking mat, I've looked at the aqua ones, trakker ones, thinking anglers one and this one seems to have the best of all worlds it's walled so should be nice and safe, padded kneeling area for my ageing knees, a pocket for scales etcbut the middle bit is removable like the thinking anglers one with a fish cover so could be useful as a stalking mat or just so I could leave the cradle set up for photos and just use the inner part for unhooking near the water so i could transfer the fish to the retainer easily whilst setting up for snaps? Anyone else have one or can recommend a good mat or cradle that will last and keep the fish safe, Does anyone use any of the cradles with legs?
