  1. Ha might. Work but I would have to get up again 😁 I have already cable tied my esp one, it does give you the confidence to give it more beans but I don't think the current set up will get the distance, I need more power 💪
  2. I think a yeast is Used in lots of baits now tbh, I believe "the cell" uses brococell yeast hence the name, now loads of companies seem to use it in one form or another, I'm no expert but I think yeast is used to help create enzymes or something 🥴 The non fishmeal based protein source could well be Pea protein hence the name pp, I believe this is also used in the DNA switch bait, and I am sure I've seen it elsewhere I listened to a podcast with Shaun Harrison the other day and his company quest baits he hasn't used a fishmeal in any of his baits, which is unusual in this day and age.
  3. I'm not very good with a stick tbh, and I find it ruins my shoulder, much like repeatedly spodding actually my shoulder hurts today after that, I would be happy with 60-80 but it's nice to dream 😁 I've seen a drennan groundbait pult they reckon can get a small ball up to 80 m, I wonder if something like that is modifyable
  4. Hi guys I fancy trying to make a frankenpult 🙄 At the moment I usually use an esp megapult with a Scruffy Bob xl pouch, I like the xl pouch as I can distribute a lot of bait fairly accurately and quickly, however the distance is limited to about 50 yards with a fairly full pouch, I would quite like to up the distance of a full pouch to about 80 - 100 yards if possible, so I guess I need to up the frame and the elastic to suit anyone got any ideas?
  5. Not even a bleep, 😭 My left hand rod was silt infested, so not a hot spot, middle and right were OK though middle came in with a lump of clay on it so that's a potential good spot, I may have to switch to lead clips or helis though as it looked to have dug into the clay which may have made the hooklink sit funny or maybe just use bags (I had forgotten my pva mesh and pva bag accessory bucket too) but it's another swim I can fish now if I need too. Not a wasted session, just a other one closer to a biggun
  6. Never even heard of them 🙄
  7. Well it's been a night to remember so far, I slept well I got the airbomb out this morning first cast didn't open, switched to my dodgy Chinese spomb 1st cast I thought hmmmm spombs are better to use, bought it back in the nose clip bit had fallen off one dodgy dead spomb 😁 I may invest in a couple of genuine spombs this week, they do seem the most usable and accurate I got the trusty korda skyraider out after that, wasn't perfect but at least I am confident I've got some bait near my spots now, just need a fish to come and eat it all now, or at least a hookbait 😁
  8. I've gone fully backwards this week ha ha, geez I've had a few small incidents already, forgot my pult, forgot my throwing stick had to use the airbomb, I can see why people use bait boats lol 3 ahoy shipmates and you are fishing, it took me ages to into dark to distribute that bait and it wasn't dead accurate, I'll be amazed if I catch one but I'm in a new swim I've found some spots and I am having a go, I am also in the muddiest swim on the lake (I could've picked plenty of others that weren't muddy) and have already been on my ass whilst baiting up 😁 I am having a go and a beer now so chilling, it's all good
  9. Well it looks like I may not get any time to fish for the next couple of weeks so i suggested I might do a quick sunday overnighter, this was met with a pretty good response so I'm going tomorrow 😁 I'm going to keep my options open this week and try and fish anywhere but the usual, i haven't got any plans, a couple of swims I wouldn't mind trying, but I may just do something new, and see if I can't learn something else about the place
  10. Who doesn't love Carl and Alex, they have done so much for the sport already,
  11. Lenard, Leonard, lenster, Lenton, Lennis, Dennis, Jeremy paxoman,
  12. You mean dodgy?
  13. Must be a paste made of paxo and custard powder then
  14. Its probably some dull old particle, yawn
  15. Potato salad is a bit wrong though isnt it, when you think chips, roast, bombay potatoes, even mash, potato salad is never the one I would reach for, I'm sure carp would agree 😀 I've tried hook swivels before and find them a bit of a faff, I think rig rings may be the same, I really want to try and keep it simple and quick, I'm starting to think a hair or bait screw is probably about as hard as I want to make it, I quite the elliot gray one on my last pic simple and easy to tie and with less added bits on and I can adjust the hair length if required
  16. Must have been tricky getting the fish to feed While they were still warm cos no one eats cold potatoes do they?
  17. So what did Richard walker use then? A lot has changed in 60 years And also what would you suggest to use I am open all ears?
  18. Most things that attract carp also attract other cyprinids though unfortunately, I think it's almost best to feed them off, it will also pique the interest of the carp
  19. I fish a lake with bream and tench and I've been using 11mm pellets, I find they attract the bream and tench, but I also think by using them and 18mm boilies or bigger I still catch carp and actually haven't caught a bream or tench for ages and they are present , not only that I don't think I've caught as well when I haven't added pellet, I would only use 11mm or bigger pellet though as I think small ones won't feed them off as quickly,
  20. Definately the numpty that left it, if you are gonna be sneaky at least be careful 😁
  21. I've been watching through the crypography back issues when I get a chance, I happened to chance upon one with elliot grey showing his rig off, so I made one as its not dissimilar to the one I made but using a knot less knot hair and a proper line aligner (as suggested by framey) this is both of them in a jug, I quite like the hair it just looks less blatent and it doesn't rattle, just a bit more delicate and tuneable if required
