I always thought less is more in the winter but a couple of people I know are still piling the bait in and smashing it. And was watching a vid with Ian chillcott the other day and he was saying he uses more bait in the winter.

Gonna be concentrating all my efforts on the secret lake next year. I'm sure there is something very special in there and my mate a lovely mid double lin a couple of months back when we thought it was only commons. Gonna start the baiting on 1st of March and make a new spot to fish where nobody is gonna find us. Exciting times ahead.

I agree . If I'd have paid full price I would be a bit disappointed to be fair. Did you struggle with the front poles locking in at 1st mate?. Took me about 10 minutes to get them in.

Yeah bit of a scam to be fair. Nearly every other bivvy on the market comes with a door and ground sheet as standard. I've got another ground sheet to use and I don't normally have the door shut anyway so not too much of a problem for me. Still wouldn't pay full price though.

Just put it up the garden. Love the shape and size. Bit hard work putting the front poles in as really stiff but I'm assuming it will become easier the more I use it. Although to be honest for what it is I'm glad I never paid full price. It's not a lot of bivvy for 250 quid.

Had one more just as I was getting ready to go. Guess what?. Another low double common 😅. Well happy though. 5 hours fishing and 5 carp. Tried the scopex squid for the 1st time so nice little confidence boost for that bait.

Just had a 4th. Another low double common. Law of average says next one is bigger or a mirror.

On the bank at the moment. Had 3 commons so far , all low doubles. Gonna give it another hour to see if one of the nice mirrors makes an appearance.

Cheers mate. I can have it for 170 brand new so a fair bit cheaper than retail. I'd like to get a titan t3 but can't justify that sort of money on a bivvy. Is the hide the same squarish shape?.

Evening all. Anybody have one of these. Considering buying one to use as more of a good weather bivvy so ain't that fussed about having no door or ground sheet. If anybody could give me some pros or cons I would appreciate it. Have a good one.

Most of my fishing is short evening sessions after work. Now with it being dark by 5pm I can't be bothered to be honest. Got a weekend session coming up on the 16th of november, Will be more focused on the perch though.

Overstocked. Get caught far too much .

Perch are the new carp. Had to wade through the nuisance carp yesterday before I finally caught a few. 😉

Biggest perch of the day. Also had about a dozen carp. Nothing big though.

Exactly mate. If I do see feeding fish on my visits I'll have the rods in the car ready.

They seem to have gone back on the deal mate. And even if they let us we have already cut out the places that we are able to. Would need a digger and a lot of hard work to make swims anywhere else where it is so overgrown. It's hard enough in the summer so reckon it's just a waste of time in the winter. Just gonna keep priming spots for next year.

I've always travelled up and down the m4 for work and 20 years ago i would start to see the kites once i got close to oxford. Now as soon as you join at the m25 you see them. Lovely looking creatures.

I'm struggling on my secret lake at the moment because of location. There are only 2 areas I can fish and the carp just haven't been there. Might just jack it in for the winter and just keep baiting the areas and hope this gets the fish there ready for the spring. Means I'm gonna have to start paying for fishing again though.😢😂
