They came back earlier while my mate was there. They didn't hang around long once he started tearing into them. Has them on video now and cut another long story short the 2 of us now have permission to fish the lakes from security as long as we report anyone who looks dodgy and get photographs of them.

If it's easy then no doubt it is happening. Happens down my club lakes all the time and they are baliffed and fished overnight.

I couldn't find the line last Night but was sure it was there. So at the end of the session i dragged the lead and rig through the margin and hooked onto it. The thing to look for is some sort of hand reel or a bottle buried under the reeds.

Went to my guesting lake earlier. Saw 3 eastern euros going into my spot. Long story short I found the line they had put out with multiple hooks tied to a bottle under the reeds. The bottle is now full of my urine with the 4 massive hooks positioned perfectly to do some damage when they reach in to pick it up.

I used to use smaller hooks and lose quite a few fish. I was fishing with a mate and he just said to me that even a small carp has a big mouth and to up the size. Started landing a lot more fish and never looked back.

I agree about the 1st bit but doesn't a zig on a 6 stand out like a sore thumb?

I wasn't gonna put the rods out the 1st night but at about 7,30 i saw a big crash in the far margin in front of me so put a rod on it and it went within 20 mins. When it got to Wednesday I was so glad I did coz I really didn't think I was gonna get another. Still got to spend a week with my old man which is rare these days so all good whatever happened.

Get one booked up mate. Most places take bookings well in advance so you could book now for 2 or 3 years time . Also most places you pay the deposit when you book and then pay the rest a few months before you are due to go so gives you plenty of time to put a few quid away a week so it doesn't seem so expensive.

Pillow loads of times. Bait on a few occasions. Worst one was in went to my local about 5 am on a Sunday morning to find it empty , happy days. Just setting up and I needed to go a loo so packed the stuff back in the car and made the 15 minute journey back home. Got back , set everything up and realised I'd forgotten all my bait. Everything back in the car etc. Got back set everything up again , just cast out the 1st rod and the bailiff turns up and tells me the lake is shut for a club match. Went back home and got drunk.

I reckon there would always be people who are interested in fishing smaller lakes as long as it held the fish. I've just came back from France yesterday. We booked a six acre lake for 5 of us. Worked out £240 each. They have a fully fitted kitchen and shower and toilet facilities.

Yes definitely mate. People pay a lot of money when you add everything up for a trip. But I bet there's a lot of people that want to go to France but can't get the numbers to book a bigger lake so don't bother.

Personally I'd say that a lake that size is only suitable for 2 to 3 anglers max. The French carp scene has so many lakes available that I don't think you'd get 4 to 6 people paying to share 2 acres of water. I might be wrong but just going by my own preferences mate. Cheers

Got back from France last night. Tough week with Temps high 30s and not a breath of wind. Had a 43lb 1st night and then lost 2 on Sunday morning and not another bite until Thursday afternoon when we finally got a nice breeze on the lake. Had 2 Thursday afternoon and then 3 in a couple of hours at 1st light on Friday. Then about 11, 30 I hooked into what feltlike a proper lump. Hook pulled after a couple of minutes. Was gutted and actually said to my mate that that was my last chance as the Temps were rocketing again. I was right as I didn't have another bleep.

Second time mate. I like it. It's not big, about 6 acres. It's a bit tough going at the moment because of the weather but I'm sure we'll get them feeding overnight.

Lac de paix mate. 3 of us have caught allready. 2 40s and a high 30.

Rod was in for no longer than half an hour. 43lb

Off to France in about 4 and a half hours.
