Cheers mate. It's still early days but the main thing is that my daughter seems happier now that there's not an atmosphere in the house. Just need the weather to sort itself out so I can do a few hours fishing instead of sitting indoors mulling things over.

Just before Xmas I went up to my dads caravan at carlton meres. Got talking to his mate who fishes the lake regularly and he told me there was a nice spot a couple of rod lengths off the big willow on the far magin. 14.5 wraps he said. I had a proper blond moment and somehow told myself that back and forth was one wrap. You can imagine what happened when I cast out 😮

The same mate. If ever I'm night fishing and the moon is bright enough to cast a shadow I just know I'm not gonna catch. And I also get very hairy lol.

Off on a perch hunt this weekend. Got 48 hours from Friday till Sunday. I'll have a carp rod out also.

All ready getting things sorted for beggining of March. Ordered 50 kilo of particle to start. Getting waders next month so I can bait down the shallower margins effectively and place rigs by hand if I need to. Also going to order a 2nd gen thermacell for those summer evenings sitting in mosquito infested bushes.

Was thinking the pike would get them. Was more worried about the spread of disease as the goldfish had sores on them. After witnessing the end of a khv outbreak on a public lake in France earlier this year I'd hate to see it again.

So went down to the secret lake today for the 1st time in ages. The water levels are up and the 3 swims we made are now under water. When I got to the second swim there were 6 small goldfish there, 1 dead and 5 looking really ill. Manged to get the dead one and 3 of the live ones out and put them out there misery. Must of been put in today I reckon. Not sure about what sort of damage goldfish can do to a lake. I know 1st hand what koi can do but does anybody reckon there could be trouble ahead?.

No 3 just does my head in. They all bang on about fish care and then stand there suffocating the poor thing.

Going tomorrow morning till Sunday night. Can't wait.

Gonna be concentrating all my efforts on the secret lake next year. I'm sure there is something very special in there and my mate a lovely mid double lin a couple of months back when we thought it was only commons. Gonna start the baiting on 1st of March and make a new spot to fish where nobody is gonna find us. Exciting times ahead.

I agree . If I'd have paid full price I would be a bit disappointed to be fair. Did you struggle with the front poles locking in at 1st mate?. Took me about 10 minutes to get them in.

Yeah bit of a scam to be fair. Nearly every other bivvy on the market comes with a door and ground sheet as standard. I've got another ground sheet to use and I don't normally have the door shut anyway so not too much of a problem for me. Still wouldn't pay full price though.

Just put it up the garden. Love the shape and size. Bit hard work putting the front poles in as really stiff but I'm assuming it will become easier the more I use it. Although to be honest for what it is I'm glad I never paid full price. It's not a lot of bivvy for 250 quid.

Cheers mate. I can have it for 170 brand new so a fair bit cheaper than retail. I'd like to get a titan t3 but can't justify that sort of money on a bivvy. Is the hide the same squarish shape?.

Evening all. Anybody have one of these. Considering buying one to use as more of a good weather bivvy so ain't that fussed about having no door or ground sheet. If anybody could give me some pros or cons I would appreciate it. Have a good one.
