Well I'm on the beer tonight so I'll see how I feel in the morning.

I had the same last Thursday. Woke up at 3am and my throat was on fire. Immediately went into panic mode. Took some paracetamol and went back to sleep, when I woke a few hours later the sore throat was gone but had a proper headache and earache. Been on antibiotics since last Friday but still got the headache and earache.

Just had a phone call from my mate who I fish the secret lake with. There has been a bloke fishing down there for 4 days. Not hiding like we do, blatantly set up so anyone can see him. He's just been moved on by the police.

Green, brown black etc, I've got no problem using any dark colours. Never noticed any difference myself. I'm more worried about what the carp feel rather than see.

Stay away from the k9 mate. Had them for a couple of years and all the dials kept falling off. The s9 look a lot better to be fair and are cheaper than the k9 too.

I'm gonna just watch fishing videos till I fall asleep tonight and see if that does the trick. Have a good night guys.

I'll be honest my anxiety has been through the roof the last couple of days. Didn't make it any better when I found out one of my mates has it today. Went proper panicky for about half an hour with really bad chest pains. Hate feeling like this, think I need to start doing something to take my mind off things but it's hard to occupy the brain when you are stuck indoors all day.

Surely you should be on the vulnerable list due to your previous health condition mate. Take care mate.

I'm a seasonal asthmatic so don't know how this might affect me but I'm also a smoker but will be doing my best to give up over the coming days. I must admit I wasn't that worried about it until my mate told me what his wife had told him. Scary times ahead. Stay safe mate.

They are doing it cause this isn't a flu virus. There's no way we would be shutting down. My friends wife works at guys hospital in London. The numbers of critical and dying are much worse than being published, they are trying not to panic people. She said they have over 300 in a critical condition just in that one hospital and that most patients can't even lie on there backs as they can't breathe when they do. Stay safe and stay indoors.

Went down the secret lake on Wednesday night for a few hours. A few showing but not a bleep as I expected. Finished work early on Thursday and as I had the rods in the car I popped down my club lake for a few hours. Mangaged to blag 3 fish in about 4 hours. Well happy with that and even more happy that the 1st one was one of the rare mirrors.

They are saying that you have to buy a 48 hour ticket in case anybody becomes ill in that time. Once the 48 hours is complete if you are well and there is room you can buy another ticket upto 48 hours. To be fair it's a good idea.

I'll start off this month. Just got back from a 36 hour. Wind was awful, rain was awful. Ground was like a bog but I managed 2 fish. Nothing big but made it worthwhile. Had the pleasure of photographing the best looking mirror ive ever seen on the bank for another angler that went 25lb. This was one of mine that luckily came in one of the better 10 minutes of weather on Saturday afternoon.

I'm going. Just need to decide where. My 1st choice is proper waterlogged.

Cheers mate. It's still early days but the main thing is that my daughter seems happier now that there's not an atmosphere in the house. Just need the weather to sort itself out so I can do a few hours fishing instead of sitting indoors mulling things over.

My missus used to hate me going fishing. Last couple of years she incouraged it. We are now getting divorced. Which means i can do more fishing 😂🐟

No mate. Straight into the willow. Luckily no rig, just the lead. I was hitting one of the lodges with my throwing stick though.

Just before Xmas I went up to my dads caravan at carlton meres. Got talking to his mate who fishes the lake regularly and he told me there was a nice spot a couple of rod lengths off the big willow on the far magin. 14.5 wraps he said. I had a proper blond moment and somehow told myself that back and forth was one wrap. You can imagine what happened when I cast out 😮

The same mate. If ever I'm night fishing and the moon is bright enough to cast a shadow I just know I'm not gonna catch. And I also get very hairy lol.

Done a 48 hour at carlton mares at the weekend. Strange old session. Low pressure warm with a nice strong wind. 1st night 4 fish came out. There were 3 of us on the lake and one came to the guy to the right of me and 3 to the guy on the left. I didn't have a bleep. Next day I put the deeper out and there were a shed load of fish showing right over my right hand rod so I decided to put a bit of bait out to try and get a reaction. The next 24 hours not a beep still so I decided to try a couple of hours on the easier lake while my bivvy dried out. Not a bleep. Went back to the bivvy and put a rod out back on the baited spot while I packed up. Rod was in maybe 30 seconds before it tore off. Not a biggie but a lovely dark mirror around the 13lb mark that saved a very frustrating blank.

Off on a perch hunt this weekend. Got 48 hours from Friday till Sunday. I'll have a carp rod out also.
