Mudgaurds are for girls lol
-
If you like that you'll love these mate. On the left my Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon Comp, heavily modified. 160 mm travel front and rear, Hope components (rims, hubs, drive train, pedals, stem, clamps etc), Code brakes with 200 mm rotors, Renthal carbon bars etc etc. Almost nowt left as standard. It's the rowdiest Stumpjumper you'll see anywhere. On the right my brothers Trek Remedy Carbon with equally ridiculous specs. Proper light full carbon trail bikes spec'd up for downhill runs. My bike is second only to my fishing gear 😁

Do the minority of perfectly healthy people not count then Nick? Seriously mate. People are dying every hour. The NHS WILL be overwhelmed. We ALL need to do whatever we can to stop this.
-
I taught my mum how to use video calls a couple of weeks ago too. They will come in very handy.

It was only last year I had a chest contusion after crashing my mtb at Bike Park Wales. Similar crash to what elmo described above actually except it threw me off the side of the mountain lol. It put me out for months - in fact I've only been out properly once since it happened. I couldn't even fish for several weeks as I couldn't push the barrow. Do not fancy going through that again lol.
-
Yeah I gave up skating after I broke both my ankles doing a set of steps. Moved over to bmx, then to mtb. Finally settled with carp fishing 🤣
-
🤣I bet you are😂 I wouldn't fancy it either. We stopped bouncing a long time ago mate lol We had Radlands over in Northampton and Derby Storm. Both class places, we were lucky tbh. But you're right, we didn't have these scooter to contend with lol.
-
Absolutely class mate. Me and my pals used to build our own ramps when we were kids. We had several kickers dotted around the village and a big old half pipe up the wreck (this was back when you could leave them out without them getting vandalised or nicked lol). When my boy is a little older I hope to follow in your footsteps. Absolutely BRILLIANT mate👍

We are having to sign these for the guys that work in our French office. I am one of 3 guys left onsite in the UK (65 personnel sent home). I am surprised we don't have a similar letter here. If anyone gets stopped by the cops they can come out with any old rubbish to give the impression the travel is essential.

My mrs is losing it too. She has a few medical professionals in her family and let me tell you the info from them indicates the problem is a lot worse than the government make out. I saw Putin gave the Russian public a choice. 15 days indoors or 5 years in prison. I bet they're not down the pub!

Awesome @elmoputney. Great pic too👍

Any reviews on trent baits freshwater shrimp
yonny replied to Carp123_0's topic in UK Bait and Bait Making
Yeah it's a real bummer. I had to buy a few kilos of CC Moore shelfies to tide me over. I HATE having to stray from my normal baits. -
You'll need to use tubing instead buddy. You'll struggle to catch without a hooklink 😅
-
No mate. A hooklink is used to tie a rig. The rig is then attached to a lead system which can be presented on a leader. Just to confuse you further, there are different types of leader (shock leader, snag leader, leadcore/fluoro/leadless etc etc). Here is a hooklink (labelled "hooklength") presented on a leadcore leader using a helicopter lead system arrangement:

Tackle box or storage what's your poison
yonny replied to elmoputney's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Agree. I often consider insurance value. The big stuff (rods, shelter etc) is easy to value but if you had to put a value on the tackle box it'd be tricky. Those little packets add up innit. -
Same here mate. The fish doesn't leave the water until it's unhooked, rested a little, and ready for weighing/photographs.

Gardner Hydro Sink Braid
yonny replied to Pete Springate's Guns's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Same here! Absolutely miles I'd imagine lol, but tbh I can't actually see me using it anytime soon, it was just that my old stuff was desperate for replacement. I can't even remember what it was it's that old. Fox I think🤷♂️ -
Gardner Hydro Sink Braid
yonny replied to Pete Springate's Guns's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Funny this just popped up - I've literally just bought a load of the 22 lb stuff for my braid spools. Not used it yet but it gets very good reviews mate. Tbh I'm so confident in all the Gardner lines I'd have bought it without seeing any reviews. -
Different colour and more expensive lol.
-
Is it not the same as the rest of their gear but a different colour?
-
Exactly. What did he think would happen? If you break the law you don't shove it in peoples faces, you do it on the quiet lol.
-
Same here. If I have to think of firms I use multiple items of gear from I guess I use Daiwa for reels, Dymag for nets and carbon, MPE and MPS for ali and titanium, Rig Marole for terminal stuff, Snugpak for warmth, the British Army for luggage, Canon for pics, Thinking Anglers for a few random bits. The rest is from here, there, and everywhere. Mainly sourced for low weight.
-
You're over-thinking it imo buddy. Just fire them where your spot is👍 I've worked on this principle for nearly 25 years and it's worked pretty well.
-
No mate. You can't really overdo it.
