  1. Or you could pay the 30 quid fine and walk away lol.
  2. No. The smell of markers is the solvent that carries the ink. When you apply it, the carrier (solvent) evaporates, leaving just the ink which is largely odourless.
  3. Yes lol. Although some bars have them built in now!
  4. Level rods is more important than location imo.
  5. I don't think it's half as important as the colour of your leader/tubing etc. A short length of braid will be next to undetectable by man or beast imo, particularly in silt/weed. Indeed. it blends into everything.
  6. Everyone seems to really rate that book. I think it's decent, but not head and shoulders above most others tbh. Admittedly the bit with the Pug and the massive common was captivating lol.
  7. I'll give you 20 quid for the hand sanitiser lol
  8. Same book with an extra chapter at the end I thought?
  9. That sounds v disappointing mate.
  10. That's news to me. I have Ritchie on Carp. What's the other?
  11. In fairness you're not the only bloke that's said that to me mate.
  12. Yeah it's shot up this past couple of years. I think I paid 60 odd quid😣 Skeff's book A Fool and His Eel is good - a bit different to all the others. A work of art. Ritchie McDonald aint on your list either. Both quite cheap.
  13. We just finished this. Absolutely nuts.
  14. Darrel Peck's book is great. He's brutally honest in it. A really good read. Savay by John Harry is a must-read. Forgotten Chapters by Fareham/friends is brilliant if you've not read it. The Chronicles series (Wraysbury, Horton and Savay) are good - especially the Wraysbury one. The History of Yateley books are also good if you like reading about the old Yateley kippers. Looking at your list I suspect you'll already have got some of these tbh.
  15. The first one is half decent. It covers Wraysbury, the 'Brooke etc. The 2nd one is OK, it has the Mere chapter. The 3rd one is OK at best. The 2nd two make you cringe a bit. He talks like he's a victim but you can tell he's anything but. There are much better books out there IMO.
  16. I hate to say it but I find him a little annoying. His appeal for the every day angler to pledge cash to the England carp team left a lot to be desired imo.
  17. That's very light indeed mate. What kind of net is it? I use a Dymag which is said to be the lightest on the market @ 530g.
  18. Awesome! I plan on getting my boy one when he's old/big enough. Me too. Bummer innit.
  19. Yeah man my pride and joy: Fishing gear, bike, family (in that order - joking lol).
  20. Mudgaurds are for girls lol
  21. If you like that you'll love these mate. On the left my Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon Comp, heavily modified. 160 mm travel front and rear, Hope components (rims, hubs, drive train, pedals, stem, clamps etc), Code brakes with 200 mm rotors, Renthal carbon bars etc etc. Almost nowt left as standard. It's the rowdiest Stumpjumper you'll see anywhere. On the right my brothers Trek Remedy Carbon with equally ridiculous specs. Proper light full carbon trail bikes spec'd up for downhill runs. My bike is second only to my fishing gear 😁
  22. Do the minority of perfectly healthy people not count then Nick? Seriously mate. People are dying every hour. The NHS WILL be overwhelmed. We ALL need to do whatever we can to stop this.
  23. I taught my mum how to use video calls a couple of weeks ago too. They will come in very handy.
  24. It was only last year I had a chest contusion after crashing my mtb at Bike Park Wales. Similar crash to what elmo described above actually except it threw me off the side of the mountain lol. It put me out for months - in fact I've only been out properly once since it happened. I couldn't even fish for several weeks as I couldn't push the barrow. Do not fancy going through that again lol.
  25. Yeah I gave up skating after I broke both my ankles doing a set of steps. Moved over to bmx, then to mtb. Finally settled with carp fishing 🤣
